This thread has now been "Stickied" I really appreciate Edd's help with this. Please contact me if you have any photos, references, updates, etc that you would like to add. Hopefully this reference guide can go from strength to strength.
Thanks for all the positive feedback since I started this thread. I have put a good bit of effort into it, hopefully I should have a comprehensive "Glasslite" figure update next week.
Thanks for all your positive feedback on this. Most aopreciated
As promised, with the arrival of my second "Glasslite" Farmboy figure I will show the slight differences in figures available.
'Glasslite' Luke farmboy figures:
Here's my two figures side by side. Both figures have sabers, however one is slightly damaged and cannot be displayed' in hand'.
The difference in the paint application is quite visible here. Latest figure on the left hand side has a more "Flesh" coloured application. The other figure has a noticeable "Pale" look.
Different leg markings on the figures. Most noticeable is the Date 'Up' and the Date 'Down'
Great work Jeff. I have really enjoyed reading your findings and will certainly be checking through my own collection (i'll also be updating me wtb to list now!)
Thanks for that Aaron. Appreciate the comments. Still have a few on my WTB list as well...
Pbp, model trem, maybe a bootleg figure...its never ending
Today I added a nice new figure to the collection. 2 Line, Hong Kong variant. It was, I thought initially, the exact same as the other dark leg figure i have had. However, I took a look at the two leg markings and noticed a slight difference between the two. There is a definite gap between the two lines on the latest addition.
Here's the two figures side by side, almost identical. Although the paint on the hands is noticbly lighter on one. Latest purchase on the left.
Here's the two leg markings. Notice the gap between the two lines on the figure on the left. The light actually gives a good indication of the gap.
So i had a look to see did it match any of my other Blonde hair, Hong Kong figures.
Came up with a match in the end.....notice the gap between the two line and
also the distinctive 'melted' letter "M" in the GMFGI stamp.
Just wasn't the figure match i expected. ...it was a match for my Light Brown Hair, Hong Kong COO figure Hadn't seen this before....
Recently picked up another 3 Line Hong Kong Figure. Couple of small differences between it and the other figures i have. Here's a couple of shots of the three figures.
Comparison shot of the two loose figures. Although bith share the Date down stamp...the latest addition (In front) has a noticeably 'pinker' paint application on the face and hands
Comparison shot with UKG graded figure. While almost identical paint application to the faces the hands are very different. Also date stamping is different on the two figures.
As promised, Here's my little side focus. Cheaper than picking up mint complete figures
It would appear that not all letters were used on the molds for single and double letter sabers. Will try again get a list up.
