Great bump - I've moved on a bit since my last post - with three new additions due next week I will be down to needing just 7 more for the full set

You going for the full set then Iain? That will be a major achievement when you do.

I don't collect the hybrids and certain figures I just don't want, so will never have the full set. Some I like to double up on due to bubble variations - hence 2 R5's and Leia Bespin's.

To be honest, I am not sure if I will get the full set as there is a lot of tough to find/expensive ones but I will give it a good try

Got to 60 including ERG, Luke Hoth, IG88 and some other toughies including cardbacks for Fett and Jawa but had to downsize. Got a comfortable but not very exciting 41 now...

Will pick up where I left off when the money tree I planted starts to grow! :lol:

My intention was (and still is) to go for a carded set of 81..that's a full Trilogo set (84) minus Madine/Fett and Jawa. I know, I know.. it is a bit of a cop out but financially the big three are not something I could ever do unless I got very lucky. I decided after a year or so of buying Trilogos that I didn't want to get the 6 hybrids either (although I have owned 3 of the 6 over the last couple of years) for a few reasons - I don't really like the look of them from the front when they are displayed with other Trilogos and the CCP and Hammerhead figures can be bitches to find.

Shame about the Hybrids got being 'proper Trilogos' always had second thoughts on collecting them and decided about a year ago not to, mainly due to the expense and secondly because from the front they look like ordinary ROTJ Moc's.

I'd love to have kept the ones I sold as I was getting really close to my own personal goal but the funds raised from the sales helped when I needed it so that's all that matters, besides there has been a lot of silly ending prices lately which makes me think it's probably not the best time to be buying anyway. Happy to take a year off Trilogo collecting at this rate..

I don't like Potf cards. Prefer the tri logos.

I'm collecting the last 15 on tri logo. I love the "new figure" sticker.

I have a few others on tri logo. Luke Bespin , Death Star Droid , Dengar and Ugnaught.

I hated the tri logos as a kid, but I really like them now, even started to think about going for them as MOCs

I only have 6 or 7 at the moment, my fave is the At At driver, far better than POTF.
Has anyone had a Madine? I've never seen him never mind have him, I wonder if someone has him in a cupboard somewehere unaware of the rarity

There was a graded one that sold on RS last year for around the 6000 Euro mark - you could probably pick an ungraded one up for less but they just don't come up that often

The last ungraded one I can remember was a few years ago on e-bay around £2500.00. The card was quite creased, can't remember what the bubble was like though.

I'm sure there's a bit of a story behind that one Andy, I don't think the seller knew what he had and then got inundated with offers and never sold it for 90 euro's in the end

:lol: - yep that's the one - it looks better on a tri logo - funny with him being possibly the worst fig made - with his wand thing :lol:

As a very young lad collecting star wars I can really only really remember tri logos in the shops for the last 17 figs in bhs.
Over the last 12 ish years since getting the ebay bug ive gradually been more and more attracted to tri logos. I currently have 47 at afa 85 grade and a further 11 moc so my total is 58. I havent got any of the obvious ones like boba, madine or jawa but have most of the easier ones.
Id be very surprised if I ever get a full set so have started to get the rare ones on palitoy cards.

To get 47 Trilogo's at AFA 85 is a major achievement.

TBH AFA85 for Fett or Jawa your talking £5k ++ with the way prices are going at the moment, Madine I dread to think.

Yeah never gonna get those 3. Ive got the madine and boba on jedi pal cards just need to get mr jawa. Am hopeful of getting another 10 ish at the same level on tris.
The prices have gone through the roof tho so its getting quite hard affording them and getting them past the wife without detection.
