Well i have had a good think about this and come up with what i think are my top 5 items - and they are all chewie related!!!

In no particular order:

Top Toys Chewie Hardcopy

Chewie First Shot with original FS weapon

Top Toys steel limb molds

Lili Ledy MOC Chewie

Kenner 12 back D Chewie (I put this one in as i had searched for this one for some time before i managed to secure it)

I have to say that to limit this to only 5 items was really hard. Great thread Joe.

A bit more info about my top 5. All have been purchased within the last 18 months and have come from 3 differnet sources. I have built up some great connections in the world of chewie collecting and i hope to be able to add to my collection from these sources over the next 18 months!!!! My misses has whole heartedly supported me and my collecting habits but even she questioned paying what i did for the HC. Well worth it in my opinion!!!!!

It was definatley a hard choice getting the last 2 peices on there and could easily substitute a few on there with some other things.

To answer another question posed by Joe. Would i ever sell my top 5 - no. Unless i was desperate to pay the mortgage or some other life changing reason.

And another question to ask my fellow collectors - is there any items out there that you want to buy (either cant afford at the time or not readliy available to buy) that if you were to buy then it would become part of your top 5. I will answer this very quickly and just say Todd Hudsons Chewie Proof collection and the awesome original wax sculpts of the vintage chewie collection.

@Jay & Joe: the playmix poster was given to retailers for displaying in shops. As far as I know it was not available to the public. So it ranges amongst 'store displays'. This poster seems to be really rare and not much copies are known to exits (Mattias probably knows more about it).

The steal mould is super cool! How about the torso mould? Any way to complete the set and get ready for a mini production?

i am not sure if the torso steel mold survived. I am still trying to confirm this. One thing i did miss off my last post was i woudl also like to buy the silicone molds that i have heard do exist but not sure who has them.

And i believe it is both the limbs and torso.

Hm too bad about the torso mould... have you ever tried to fill the limbs mould with something and get a 'wax copy' (or so) out?

Idefix13 - funny you should ask as i am off to see a friend this weekend for the day that has a real interest in this sort of thing. I told him about the molds and i am going to take them with me and try to get a half decent cast of them in some form of durable plastic. I will post the results if they are any good!!! Down side it wont be pressured injection moulding.

You won't be able to inject the plastic with presure but you can 'put' the plastic inside the mould and then press the two parts of the mould...

First of all one of the best threads that has ever been on the forum IMO,and it's been a pleasure to see what everyone regards as their top 5 items.

Right,I've thought long and hard over this and seeing as my collection is now pretty much exclusively Palitoy MOC''s,it kinds of limits to what I can list,here goes in no particular order.

1st up Palitoy 12 back 3PO AFA 90.My 1st ever Palitoy MOC and as such it's special to me(and the fact it's graded a 90,1 of 4 Pali 12's to ever do so)

Next a 20 back Greedo AFA 85, I was lucky to get this hard to come by card and according to toygrader the highest grade in existance.

A recently aquired piece from Gary(cheers pal) ESB 41 back Han Solo.In the top 5 because of the rarity and the fact it's Han Solo the coolest character in the Series.

A very nice example of a 45 a Chewbacca,one of my fave cardbacks,I just wish it was a 12

Finally my only non Palitoy MOC left in my collection and I just had to include a 21 back Fett

Some truely amazing peices guys, this thread just gets better and better.

My 5 is hard as i have so many baggies i love (sorry guys its going to be mainy baggies lol)

My 1st peice however has got to be my newly aquired DT Vader 8)

The rest are in no order

2. 4 pack (Vader/bounty hunters)

3. Blue Snag Baggie

4. 10 pk

5. Yak face baggie (woolies 8pk)

I may change a few given time, but right now these are some of my faves.
It was hard leaving out my VC jawa as its one of my favourite variations.

Lee, those are some beauties you have there and I'm not talking about your Avatar. I think my favorite of the lot would be Threepio. He looks to be in amazing condition and represents one of the characters that started us all on this whole thing. They are all excellent pieces.

Del, congrats on the DT Vader. Again an iconic figure that represents where it all began and the original variation. My second favorite would be the Bounty Hunters 4 Pack since they are a scene accurate pack.

It is amazing to see all the pieces that have been shown in this thread. I think I want to add another top 5. :lol:

Great Palitoy figures Lee, I have to agree that 90 threepio is awesome, the colours are so vibrant it doesnt look real! (let alone 30 years old !!)

Joe & Shawn it's funny with the 3PO,one of the easiest to find on a Pali 12 and not even one of my fave cardbacks,but Joe you're right the condition of the cards is superb.You can understand why the AFA grade so few 90's,especially when you stand it next to a few 85's,it looks so much better.

Del those graded baggies look sweet,also loving the DT Vader.Luckily for me Palitoy never produced any DT figures(as far as I know) so that's something I won't have to go after.
