auction has 6 lots of repro carded star wars stuff etc, all with high estimates on them.

Said the same thing in the thread where one of the sellers of some of the legit lots advertised this auction. Astons just look desperate for fees to me for pedalling this junk. It's pathetic.

Sad thing is, same as ebay, this stuff actually sells. I'd rather have a trashed beater than some professionally and painstakingly sealed piece of shite ...

I think it's getting to the point where Hasbro may as well reissue stuff, clearly marked of course. Due to the high prices now nothing is going to stop people wanting cheaper alternatives, so it would put all of these idiots making poor quality shite out of business, and I'm sure would sell by the bucket load.

Im against it, but im intrigued. Theres people out there giving orme hundreds of pounds for photocopies stuck onto cardboard, so some ****mouth is bound to snap those up for a grand +.

Its good to see these outed on here - thank you Jason for the highlight and in some ways its good that the auction house is being so open that its repro as it reduces the possibility of being conned, the estimate though is teh additional level of confusion as the carded figures are surely only really worth their loose value and therfore the auctioneer is hyping up the value of the items... seems a bit double standards.

I have a feeling if the auction house had made a mistake and missed they were fales/reproduction and in turn had then agreed to remove them from sale, we would not be so irritated by this... my small element of relief, is that the auction house has at least clearly listed as reproduction boxes/cards/weapons etc.

I think this all speaks loudly of how the hobby in the last 12/18/24 months has been ever more vocal against reproduction items both on forums and facebook and therefore reducing the options to sell this stuff on, hence someone choosing to go down this more off beat route??? Will we see more of this kind of thing sooner rather than later...
