Hi guys gonna chip in on this one,I was winning bidder on yak and Anakin,High prices I know????
I set my budget at £400 for Yak and £350 for Anakin but got carried away, think I was bidding against the seller
I regretted having a twitchy mouse finger after both auctions had ended and thought **** that was silly and expensive!!!,but then I thought hey wasn't gonna get them anywhere else especially not in the uk!
Been in discussions in the past on rs (not that theres many yaks/anakins around, and when you do track one down super $$$$$$$ are brought into light? Am I gonna get scammed out of 5/6/7 K? will it get damaged in the post, have they actually got one for sale, customs fees, and do they want to sell or are they just teasing me/look what ive got type attitudes ? )
I have owned the full collection before (sold it 16 years ago yak and Anakin included due to separation)
So I may be the first to have completed this line TWICE (if yak and Anakin count not sure!)
my collection is in vintage showcase all 93 of them.

It's a shame. Wonder how much out of that £18k he got.

I know that had he asked I could have found several people willing to pay the £15k or higher. And he'd have got the all of the amount!

I'm assuming the boba fett was hand delivered, plus for something that expensive you are going to want a professional service.

The vectis website states that the charge for selling is negotiable. Craig appears to have made a lot of money, Vectis have made money, and Craig I assume has peace of mind that he hasn't been ripped off dealing on ebay or with other nefarious sources. All the hassle has been taken out of his hands.

For the Fett the final selling fee was £15k. With the buyers premium it was £18600. That is £3600 to Vectis, and they certainly advertised the cahoolies out of it. Add to that the rest of his items. Vectis did well.. I wonder if Craig did do a good deal on the selling %. I think they made something like £8k from the buyers premium alone.

Selling
What do Vectis Charge for selling toys?
The standard charge for selling is open to negotiation depending on the value of your collection, the selling charge is all inclusive apart from a small insurance charge (also negotiable) plus VAT.
VAT is payable on the commission only and not the hammer price.
