Bought them all as he wants it for the price
Let me see if I've got this right, you buy the slot so you can bid? And then you have to pay the asking price? Or is it a raffle sort of thing? Pardon the questions but I'm a bit slow

They're raffles mate but because running a raffle like that is illegal they call them battles. Basically gambling on Star Wars and as you can see from the Kellerman book screengrab many get the seller absolutely the top money for the item, if not far more than market value.

Pretty much, I got added to the group but after briefly contemplating having a go for a high end MOC thought better of it and left

It's all about doing a little bit of research before believing the hype!
I sometimes wonder if "friends" are bigging up the post?

What makes it worse is I just had it pointed out to me that the guy selling on eBay is a renowned flipper with huge mark ups. And he's making FB look bad

The guy selling on FB was on here for a time, Bespinlover- constantly after price advice and asking is this that or the other a good deal. Cock

I think that we all know that FB is not the place for bargains, that has moved back to eBay.
But it seems to me that for sale posts seem to be "bigged" up by other posts to make the item seem good value.
Yes I have bought the odd item on FB, but at a price I am happy with after doing research, I think that these type of posts are out to get the new people in the hobby, it stinks, but it's a tough world we now live in.
Nice IG 88 you sold last night by the way, now that was a good price!

That was forced by an impromptu cardback purchase

I can't stand the sheep mentality of morons on facebook, they always go on about ebay being evil and something to completely avoid, it's just ******* stupid. I even seen a post on echo by someone bumping up his for sale post and saying he'd "rather sell it to a collector" but if it don't sell by x-time then he will have to stick it on ebay.... so what now ebay buyers aren't collectors then?, iv'e never heard anything so dumb!

The mentality of facebook people is ridiculous, they really do believe on ebay that all buyers are flippers &/or scammers, and all sellers are shady or scammers. If it wasn't for ebay my collection literally wouldn't be half of what it is now, iv'e had some of the best lucky deals anyone could find, iv'e acquired some rare pieces at great prices, and if I ever have a problem with a purchase?, just ******* return it and stop being a baby, simple!

Oh well it was worth it then, nice card, don't see many of those these days.
I once had a MOC with the small Clipper colour catalogue stuck to the cardback, wish I hadn't sold it now!

Someone aged 37-40 tried to say he'd been collecting VSW since the late 70's

What a crock! No-one of that sort of age (my age) collected VSW in the 70's or 80's. They were our toys - that we ripped open and played with

I'm 42, was born in 75' and played with Empire and Jedi toys. I had none and have no memory of any 70's SW toys whatsoever. People are so full of ****

It was on a retro video games group and i limelighted my Spectrum SW games, got the bottom of a MOC in the pic and someone asked about it so I showed them. Next thing this chap pops up with his impressive loose collection and the above horseshit comments.

Chase HQ and something isn't it, wrong colour car to be Outrun

Operation Thunderbolt, New Zealand Story and Chase HQ.

Outrun is there.. hiding between Robocop 2 & TMHT.

Need to get a better pic taken.. a lot hidden in there.

I see it, New Zealand Story was a yellow kiwi wasn't it?
Not often I'm jealous but seeing all of them has definitely turned me a little green with envy.

Please post clearer pictures, I can remember the cassette inlays :D , but can't remember the names of the games that I used to enjoy playing :( ........it's driving me MAD!!!

Wonder when these will appear on FB for sale thread or eBay!!

OMG nostalgia overload, I had like half of those games on the C64, the cover art is so memorable on all of these games as we had no choice but to sit there for 5 - 15 mins while the game loaded and sat there examining & admiring the box art while waiting.

I remember looking at the different screenshot versions of a game on the backs and laughing to myself about the Spectrum users having to put up with those ****** graphics with 2 or 3 colours, while I sat there with my 'advanced machine'.

Great stuff :)

Me too, great to see them again, the Speccy loading was the best! eeeeeek ek eeeeek eeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk (for another 10 minutes)

I loved Batman the movie, great game.

Indeed... That Batman game was brilliant. Just hard enough to keep you retrying, but not so hard that you ditched it after a couple of games. Pretty sure it was bundled with my Amiga(?).. maybe a Spectrum though..
