I think that's what drove a couple people away from TIG.

mumbo said:You know when there's a deviant collector about because they're always asking for close ups of the figures arse
edd_jedi said:Is it just me or is this variant nonsense getting out of hand? There will be 5,000 different versions of every figure if people continue kidding themselves that every tiny difference in paint, mould, COO etc is a legitimate, deliberate variant.

walkie said:I'm with you boys on a lot of stuff.....stitch colour, hood size all that stuff is bonkers as pretty much anything factory made will have batch to batch differences.
Nothing wrong with coo collecting, there's plenty of focus collectors on here collecting all the different MOC's, which is also variant collecting at heart.
As for the DSC, I have £200 sat here if anyone has one sitting in their collection that they don't know about.

And I was hoping to have a cheap year buying loose bits....MOCs are looking better value by the day, just missed a Palitoy 65 back Vader tonight for about £86edd_jedi said:lejackal said:Tuskan Raider for £32 anyone? When did that go from a £15-22 figure?
Yeah I saw that, a queue of buyers too! Looks like it won't be long until the basic figures are all £50 each.
tiefighterboy said:but aren't these only FB prices??? Ebay is so much cheaper.
Dannywhiteley said:Facebook tax is added because new buyers who don't know anything feel safer on there buying genuine items and are prepared to pay 100%+ above market prices as a result.

That would get my vote. Rightly or not it's a huge part of collecting now and the fractious exchange of a few weeks ago has passed.wrighty said:Is it time to shift this thread back to the main discussion page? :?:
xbomber said:Talking of fractious, a lot of anger on the echo group tonight as a '90 chaser' has opened a moc.
