That looks fantastic! One quick question though having now seen the window right next to your display; what are you doing about UV protection? You seem far too sensible and knowledgeable to ignore the fading threat posed by UV, so will you have blinds up to prevent natural light falling on your MOCs? Do you have UV film on the windows (which helps a lot, but isn't perfect)? Or have you something else up your sleeve?

I bet there is a sheild that drops down from the roof like a false wall?

 Now you've got me thinking. :P

Thank you. The light doesn't actually hit that side of the wall as it's an internal wall not a wall to the outside so all good. It's always in the shade. :)

Looks fantastic! That LED lighting is really going to set off the items displayed. Good work!

Cant believe you already have it up. Looks great and cant wait for the false wall to be put up.

Thanks apack. Lol, what false wall? Do you mean the false boxed skirting board to go on the bottom of the closed cabinet?

The one that comes out of your roof like taff said.

Ah, no changed my mind. Instead I've got the whole room on hydraulics which lowers underground to reveal another exact copy of the room on top but empty. :P

Sounds like you'll need more Mocs to fill that one too. Are you going to do all the work yourself? That might be really tiring.

I like to test my body's limits so why not eh. :? lol.

UPDATE: Just fitted black frames to all units. Also fitted clear perspex for the centre piece and frosted perspex for the two slim side panels at the side of centre piece...

Now all to do is to tidy up all uneven surfaces and gaps on the unit.

To cut a long story short...

Very nice - concept to completion with arty photo shots to boot! Top job there. Commissions coming in?

Thank you Taff. Lol, someone else said that about commissions. Er no.

Yes, a terrific job! I hope we get to see it when it's filled! :-)

Thank you Jeremy. Of course, once it's filled I'll take the completed photo. :)

That looks really nice. I'm currently negotiating with SHMBO regarding shelves etc for my display. It's not going well :(

Thank you my friend. Sorry to hear about your situation. Who are SHMBO, a shelving or timber company?

Brilliant work, looks very professional, a classy display

Thank you Grinchy, really appreciate the kind words.

Just found this thread Ham, what a stunning set up, you have great design skills, let alone the actual manufacturing of the disply!
I am really looking forward to seeing your new MOCs in this display, it will do them the justice that they deserve.

Hi Russ, I've been quite busy but am working on the finishing touches. I have some spare time coming up so hopng to get it all done then. Thank ou for the interest and apologies for the pause as it was going really quickly and then I got busy with other things.

At the moment I'm doing the false skirting for the bottom of the unit and then all that's left to do is create a locking mechanism for it and finish of painting the sign writing. Almost there. :)

As for the filling it up, that may have to wait for a while as have funds tied up in other things at the moment. I need 5 loose figures and 5 MOC's to complete the collection.

Lovely, thanks for the update, sounds like it's coming together nicely.

Take care.

Russ :D

You tease us with how fast you build it and then you make us wait for the finishing touches. For shame. I still can't wait to see it. :D
