Things are looking up at the Villa

If Villa stay up this year it will be solely because there are three worse sides! And that's a sad thing to say about a club the size of Villa.

Mind you Newcastle are imploding, and Saints may well follow suit. Then you got QPR, Reading and Wigan, survival is still very possible.

Vill are a shoe-in to go down. Can't see any reasonable argument to suggest otherwise. Worst team in the premier league by quite a way.

Feel for you Weasel.

From a neutral point of view- who wins the league bores the hell out of me. Same names, its all about money blah, blah. Its why I stopped watching national football.

But to have a major team/teams in a relegation fight is exciting.

At least you will be on the edge of your seat all season :)

Seems to me that only QPR and Reading are currently looking up at the villa

A few seasons ago you had a fantastic team and manager but the owners decided to take the money rather than footballing glory, such a shame

At least you can look forward to playing Brentford next season

I've never hidden the fact I support Liverpool/need my head examined. But, HOPEFULLY, I'm not one THOSE Liverpool fans. The whiney, deluded, paranoid muppets.

Could be worse though, I could be a Utd fan! They are all wankers! Isn't that right Liam!? lol

It could be worse, you could be an Ipswich fan - our only 'highlight' this season has been Luton's win at the Scum

Oi you bastard!

We are not ALL wankers those that go round wh cant even name half the Utd Squad have never ever been to OT in their lives they are the Glory hunting ****ers!

Iain

Last Night wins for Barsnley/Bristol C have dragged the tractors boys back towards the drop zone and the worse GD of the lot wont help. That last minute loss at Bristol City will be massive come the end of the season

Hey Grant! :) Who do you support mate?

Yeah, even i've been to Old Trafford once which i'll bet is more than 98% of United fans can say.

Agreed Pete. I have been three times Home Draw with Middlesbrough, Home Draw with Newcastle, Home Defeat to Villa and Fa Cup Wembley Semi Defeat to City . Thats why I dont go any more we never win!

Villa are going down, they are awful at the minute, should of sold that din bent...

You lot don't know how lucky you are, think of me being a Pompey fan,may not even have a team to bitch about next year!

Aye, Pompey are proper ****ed.

Some of the stuff that has gone on there is just scary. The stupidity of the people who ran that club really does make a mockery of the FA's "fit and proper persons" test.

I think football in general is ****ed - there is no way that they can support the wages that the players are being paid. I saw yesterday that Martin Kelly is after a £45,000 a week contract - I don't think I've even see this lad play !

£45,000 averaged out across a squad of 25 is a huge sum of money (Stevie G must be on close to £100K) - unless you are a Chelsea or a Man City, where the owners are playing real life Champ Manager - then there is no way you can sustain this.

I know my team, Ipswich, has over £60million worth of debt - how are we ever going to be able to repay this - every year our wages = turnover
