Ayyyy??? :? No idea what that means. I don't use RS. I haven't looked at anything on there in years other than the odd link that gets posted on here.
I agree tho, the "rarest complete" was something added onto the poll after the fact cos it's arguable whether an incomplete figure really counts. But i guess that's a different argument; does a figure need to be complete to be counted. I certainly think so but that's just my view.
I guess you have a point on ebay not telling the whole story, no doubt. Tho there's very little else to go on. I know at the moment there are 11 complete loose Yaks on ebay.uk and 1 R2 pop-up.
When i was buying Yaks a few years back i didn't just buy them from the UK. I found them all over. I got about 9 or 10 from Germany. A couple from france, one from Holland one from the US and a few from the UK and on the forums. I still search for them but never end up pulling the trigger but i am well versed on how many there are at least for sale out there. The R2 i've not had as in depth a relationship with as a collector but i do search for them every now and then and very rarely see a complete one. and if it is it's not in great condition.
It took me a little under 2 years to buy 23 complete Yak Faces. And there were plenty more out there to pick if i had had the funds. But almost 1 a month for 2 years isn't bad. 8)
It's only my guess but i personally doubt someone could do the same with complete pop-up R2s. Incomplete, possibly.
I guess the only real way to judge the level of existence of Yaks and R2s would be to take a poll and find out how many of each each member has. You then tally them up with the amount that you can find on ebay and that's the best number you're gonna get. Everything else would be guess work.
