That 'buzz' you get...

...when you finally find an item you've been after for ages!

Last night before I went to bed I decided to do a last minute search on ebay USA to see what had just been listed and top of the list was a buy it now for an item I've been after for ages. The adrenaline starts pumping and you get excited - read the description so fast and then bang, hit the buy it now button! (will post a pic of the item when it arrives).

As a collector, that thrill you get when you find a personal grail, there's nothing like it!

Anyone else recently got a 'buzz'?

Completely get it....Similar for me, but I don't buy online.

While back I found an EB LFB in a little antiques centre buried under some loose figures, asked the price...£6, I bought it ( and a couple of other figs) it had a complete Saber and in lovely condition, on getting outside I actually "whooped :!: " my wife was not impressed with that, I was like a kid again, genuinely buzzed up....you just can't beat that buzz :lol:

Yeah only problem for me when this happens, is I usualy don't have the funds so can't hit the BIN buttton.

When I search on Ebay I always check the 'auction only' box so as not to get reams and reams of over-priced BINs... but it sounds like might have missed out on the odd bargain!

But I do definitely know about the 'buzz' particularly when putting a cheeky late bid on something and watching the timer tick down towards 0 with you as the highest bidder ("...please don't change, please don't change...")

Problem is I tend to go on Ebay at around 9pm when my kids are snoozing off to sleep and my victory whoop sometimes wakes them up.

Yep practically everything I buy :lol: mainly because I generally try to avoid paying 'the going rate' for things (eg the price there are always several BINs on eBay for.) My most recent 'whoop' moment was probably the trilogo Luke Bespin I picked up from Vectis.

And this is what those clowns paying $2000 for common AFA graded MOCs will never experience.

I made a mistake recently of offering 5 percent less than the BIN of an item I really really wanted, which worked out about 100 dollars but an offer i thought would defo be accepted, only snag was 5 minutes later someone used the BIN so for the sake of 100 bucks, I was pissed off, next time i wont make same mistake.

Great getting something you are really after.

Yep, happened to me last week. Been after a Trilogo/hybrid Greedo for ages, there's one that has been listed for a while at the bargain price of £695 - no thanks - then one popped up auction style, 99p start. Got the exact adrenaline rush you describe, coupled with the annoying seven day wait till the end. Anyway, long story short I won it.
