Still having one major ****/assclown around once a year, makes this place even more awesome.

Like a magnet and metal...we seem to attract them....and hell some of them stay...look at me

That was a good read. There were two other uk forums I belonged too. One was chris harpers palitoy site and the one I got to know members before here was gadders.com.

This site does have the best social friendly atmosphere out of any forum I belong too.

I'll second that, Lee- without hesitation. I've only been on this forum a couple of months, and the welcome I've had and the thoroughly decent people I've got to know (you included, my good fellow!), well... it fair brings a tear to the eye

It really isn't a bad community here.

And if you're really lucky they'll even drive you across Europe! :D

I'll go as far to say that Jez is the best pilot in the galaxy. And I'm not just saying that because I won his competition earlier.

Well I am still here albeit lurking more these days. Low profiles, other priorities and all that. But who knows I may re-enter the fray soon enough.

Does anyone else remember slim? There was quite a lot of gossip done behind the scenes when he was here (I think because people thought it was Han again?) but didn't that end with him "confessing" to being into Nazi stuff and buying Nazi daggers on ebay? lol

I think his only real crime was that he completed his loose collection in 3 weeks then sold it all up less than a few weeks after completing it

only just seen this LOL

we had to sell quite a few things to help pay for my wifes operation in 2009 and my starwars collection had to go along with all my ww1 medals and even changed the car to free up money :!: but it was worth the price we paid to go private because it has worked out very well for my wife :!:

in life we dont know whats waiting round the corner for us but all i can say is thank god that i had my starwars collection and other bits to sell to be able to afford to go private caus the state of the NHS is a joke

rant over , good to be back

lionel " slim "

Good to hear Slim, life is all about perspective, lots of things you have to do whatever it takes, you can always start over
