Skeleton Crew - December

That was good fun.
Went in with extremely low expectations, but found it surprisingly enjoyable. The kids and effects are great. Also fantastic to see aliens and droids back in favour.

Is it Star Wars?
You can argue its a generic kids sci-fi adventure with a Star Wars skin, but it would be churlish to nit-pick something that I'm obviously not the target audience for.

I can't see see it turning around DisneySW fortunes, but if it stays a well made, fun adventure (hopefully identity politics free) as the first two episodes suggest, then more power to it.

7.5/10 so far.

I enjoyed the first two episodes, one thing I would like to see is each episode having its own mini story. The Mandalorian first two seasons nailed this and apart from Andor we haven't seen this.

I get that it's a series and the entire point is to build a story, but it's Star Wars, each episode needs its own meaning.

Really enjoyed the watch so far, as said refreshing.

Goonies, flight of the navigator, ET, SW ..what's not to like!

Like the "mint condition old republic credit" reference , no ship can leave or enter the barrier, etc link that to the pirates talking about AtAttin being a treasure planet of fable …get s the old mind thinking!

Look forward to watching the rest of the series …thumbs up from me

I saw the first 2 episodes. After I saw episode 1 I was very close not to watch episode 2. Damn it was bad and for me it has nothing to do with star wars except the name. After I saw episode 2 I cancelled my disney plus subscription in anger.

I was thinking maybe it was like the goonies or something like that, but I could not compare it with that. For me star wars is princesses, empire, jedi, sith, rebellion, bounty hunters and smugglers, pirates, good against bad oh and ewoks.

So far I can only see how much disney have damaged the star wars univers with movies like episode 7, 8 and 9. 3 bad movies and 2 bad series The Acolyte and now the Skeleton crew.

Even the 2 ewok movies are better than this 3 movies and now 2 series.

Yep I really enjoyed the first episodes, never going to please everyone though, bit like Marmite ( which for the record I like). Oooops isn't Marmite banned in Denmark Lars!

I always ask the question…"would I be watching this if it was associated with Star Wars or have Star Wars in the title"?
And to be fair the answer is yes with this…so far.
And I haven't been able to say that in a long time…probably since Mano series 1.

Even the T-shirt channels a certain 80's vibe with the design - love it.

I googled marmite because I have never heard about it. I can see it was banned in 2011 because the company had not asked for permision to sell it in denmark. Later they have asked about it and the have got permission to sell it in denmark in 2014. But I still have never seen it and I have no idea what it is.

I am glad you enjoyed the first episode ;) I guess some like it and other hate it, but then again it is like that with all series and movies :ROFLMAO:

Really enjoyed episode 3. Intrigued about At Attin. Loads of nice touches in this episode and they gave us enough info to keep us going, without giving too much away. Meeting Kh'ymm reminded me of Aughra from the Dark Crystal. Looking forward to seeing the stop motion giant crab- so cool they decided to do that, instead of CGI!
