Shipping boxed vintage in just bubble wrap!? For gods sake!

What does he mean, my time taken to visit the post office???

I know a few more rural P.O.'s have closed recently but is he like travelling 20 odd miles to find his nearest one???

At the risk of repeating myself, cock!!!

Well, he has promised me a full refund including return postage.

Still, I'm really trying but can't get him to admit he's in the wrong:

The item also has its original cardboard insert which also protects it from damage to its shape, barring someone sitting on it.

My apologies for this unfortunate incident. As I said earlier, my packaging for postage is determined by the integrity of the box initially. On this occasion, it would appear that the postal service have been a bit heavy handed.

It seems he really believes this.

Good news Emiel, but he clearly is delusional - or maybe the post office really does make sure little parcels are at the top and big ones at the bottom of the van

Gutted for you, have you thought about U grading it? and making more money

Hope it works out for you.

This happened to me recently, too. I've also had the "my time" and "packing costs" spiel.

These muppets are mental and can't accept that it's their fault.

I'm going to ask for a box on every purchase from now on.

It's opened Gorneesh, else it would have been already on it's way to AFA.

Looks the guy with the ISP-6 got ****ed too.

That ISP-6 used to be mine Todd! :(

I sold it to a guy called Andy Graham from Preston UK a few months ago & i can assure you,it was extremely well packaged & he received it in the same condition as i sent it!

For him to send items out like that is pure laziness & for him to do that to fellow collectors beggars belief!!!

What a ****ing MONG!!!!!

Emiel,i'm really gutted for you mate & i hope you get a full refund plus return postage too!

So you sold this guy the ISP-6......He flipped it....then shipped it in a paper bag to the other unhappy winning bidder?

That's a bingo!

I had it on ebay with a buy it now price of £55 with free postage & he asked me if i would end the listing & would i take £50 for it which i accepted. If i'd have known he'd do that to a fellow collector,i'd have NEVER sold it to him!

I had this once happen when I bought a very rare action man outfit (and I do mean rare.- think of a Palitoy 12 bk Chewie kind of rare or only a couple of known boxed examples) - was sent in bubble envelope normal postage and the postman had folded it and popped through the letterbox. - got home from work and opened the door, honestly couldnt bring myself to open it. - ****in ruined - sounds like a lot worse if it came from a fellow collector, he should know better

All I can say is, I hope you're not going to send that back in as "good" a shape as it arrived.

That is a shame Emi, it's always pretty gutting when you buy a toy in that kind of condition then stupidity turns it into a beater.

Been there myself :(

I am. I could never bring myself to destroying a SW toy, even if it's already half ruined.

Mark, his name is indeed Andy Graham. So he should know how to pack these having had you as an example.

As had been said already the guy is a bellend. I know you couldn't do it but I'd be sending back an empty shoebox with poo in it (insured & tracked of course)

Been there, got the T-shirt, sworn at the sheer stupidity of some people!
Gutted for you. From your other thread I actually thought it had survived reasonably well. What a shame!

As the others have said you should get a full refund, and regardless you can claim the postage back as Evil bay don't let sellers charge for their time etc.

I know this feeling; when I first got into collecting again about 12 years ago I got a carded Ree Yees (stop laughing at the back there) for £40, and it was sent in a plain envelope - not even any bubble wrap! Needless to say the bubble was destroyed and the card bent to ****.

I can see where the seller is coming from when he says "travel to post office" etc. But at least he should package the stuff up properly. I recently sold a load of modern figures and charged £15 overseas postage, shipped in a shoe box and got a neutral as the price the Royal Mail charged me was £12!

However, having read that this guy is a collector and is exactly flipping a lot of items then **** him - am available for revenge negging if you like?!
