Who's the more foolish, the fool or the one who gives him an empty box...

How can I say no - he is just so entusiastic

"oh look there's General Vears" - arh, you might as well have him too

I am laughing and blushing at the same time, sorry if he puts you under undue pressure but you look like you are big enough to handle bullies.

Its a shame he has to grow up though cos he won't get away with it forever...

Mate, seriously it is great to see young collectors. He was the star of FF1 and would have upstaged Gus & Duncan if he'd come to FF2 - I am happy to encourage it

Hey, and one day, when he has his own paypal account then he too will be able to buy figures from me

I am looking forward to him taking control of his own spending. It will save me a fortune and make you enough to retire.

When he is old enough he will get an SWFUK account too, if it wasn't for Weasel, Todd and AJ he would have one already.

You wouldn't believe the lengths I've gone to over the years sneaking stuff into the house! I've had items sent all over the place, hiding things in my bag I've bought home from working, keeping stuff in my car until the Mrs is in the shower, rushing upstairs the second I'm through the front door, the list goes on.

I've even left work early to pick something up before my Mrs gets back from work, it's been a real problem at times!!

Anyway, that was back some time ago, although I still try to hide bringing things into the house when I pick up the odd thing nowadays. I'd never put us in debt through it but sometimes it's just not worth explaining why I really needed to get another jumbo Boba Fett.

I think that sums it up..

I am always hearing 'how many of those bloody Walrus Men do you need?'

Picking up a few loose wally's won't break the bank but they might rock the boat.

I like the comment "I am looking forward to him controlling his own spending"
You see.... You have introduced him to the wonderful world of SW. So not only will you continue to spend on you but on him as well ....bank of dad is always open....as I said its your fault....then when he finds his significant other YOU will be blamed for all of his purchases!

Been there done that ...still wearing the t shirt

you could just 'block' us from his account. I'd hate to think my boob pictures are hindering a budding collector

I've never hidden or felt the need to lie about my collecting/purchases to a significant other. My most recent ex was very supportive. The women I've spent time with since the breakup, when they find out that I collect, if they show even the slightest hint of being put off by it, haven't gotten called on for another date.

 Your post goes to show that there are indeed plenty of fish in the sea. However, the Star Wars fanatical collector appreciating type of fish is an illusive creature.

They're not easy to find, but I'd personally just rather be single, than be with someone who scorns my hobby or counts the dollars I spend on my own stuff, as money I could have spent on her. Just one of the few things that I'm not going to compromise in the quest for the next long term partner.

Cheers
J

I've been with my partner for 18 years now and never took her out for a meal. Is that bad when I spend lots on SW?

Wow! That's a special lady you have. Keep hold
