Resealed figure discovery debate - G.Kurtz Palitoy VC Jawa.

Just a quick question. Are there physical differences between the legit and non legit samples of the same figure. The reason I ask is that my suspect German 45 Yoda, has a very firm thick bubble, whereas my non-suspect sample has a much more flimsy and thin bubble, so when you lightly apply pressure, especially on the bottom footer area, it crinkles with a crinkly sound to match. The suspect sample does not do this.

Not sure if this is new, but AFA seems to stop grading the questionable cards, especially directly from Toni. LG member "Lumpi" posted this:

I recieved an answer from Afa on my e-mails regarding this issue today:

"AFA has put a freeze on the processing/grading of any card variations in question from the list of figures obtained by ToyToni in the early 1990s.

At some point in the near future, as more information becomes known and we get a programmer to make alterations to the AFA website, AFA plans to add a disclaimer to every serial number associated with questionable European card variations within the free on-line serial number verification database in order to ensure collectors have as much information as possible to help them make educated purchases based on all the information at hand.

Toni is banned from submitting items for grading to AFA!"

Well...that sems like an acknowledgment..

give toni an ultimatum, we collaboratively (there must be 100's of people with massive money in this) report him to the police (and inland revenue just in case) or he comes out and defends himself.

but to be honest ive lost all patience and think we should just get a report in, the best and most productive way possible.

TTs ebay accout "marsking" not being registered as a business account on ebay (which is actually illegal to do so now i think?) means that he probably has not been declaring the revenue from the 10 years or so of sales .im sure the tax man would be interested in that also when its more than clear he is a business  could be some real tax avation goin on with ebay that account , just thought i throw that in for all the scorned people looking for some additional armoury

I just checked on eBay and his account is registered as a business seller.

Can someone confirm if ToyToni ever travelled to the US in the 90's to sell Star Wars merchandise?

Specifically the Atlantique City show.

Admission of guilt?

Why would he stop selling them if they were fine?

The big question is has he removed the stuff that the community have outed as dodgy or removed the stuff that he knows is dodgy?

His kenner/tri logo pages are still up and that stuff has been in the clear.

cheers Jason

Maybe its time to also inform other outlets like Vectis ? and other 3rd party companies that may still get cough up in this nasty situation ?

dose anyone here know anyone personally at Vectis ? http://www.vectis.co.uk ?/

it would be best coming from someone they know.

where else would Toni be able to sell off this stuff ? its worth all having a think and giving them the heads up .

Jason i think its time to put together a short statement of fact and only fact we can prove so we can give that out when people ask about this matter .

maybe its time to talk to some of the experts to help word this statement and to get an agreement on what we can prove , i think maybe someone should start closed forum thread and invite some of the pillars of the collection community that are also experts to talk frankly about this matter and then put out a jointly agreed statement ? i really think its time now.

jason and Wolf are you up for putting a little more time in on this to bring it to a conclusion and help out on a expert thread to work out what happened ?

as from the start i am happy to help in any way moving forward

Hi Jason, Kathy Taylor at Vectis is aware of the situation. They are not selling affected pieces for the time being.

Have edited my palitoy guide with the relevant information for now.

If you google his name, the first site that comes up is his flickr account:-

http://www.flickr.com/photos/aemchowicz/

He is a reef diver/photographer and has some great pictures of sharks on there. Thailand has some great underwater dives
and is a cheap place to live so that would make sense.
