Maybe this is just me, but this auction from a reasonably experienced ebayer is baffling.

He has a bunch of SW Weeklies, rather than just list in a multiple listing, he is offering an auction where you will get maybe a random issue if you don't specify. So maybe I specify one you don't have and get a random one i don't want. Why not multiple list or a BIN in a single multiple listing.

Sounds a little like someone who can't be bothered to list them or they've only got the ones in the picture and are hoping for many people to bid on them in the hope that he's got the ones they're looking for.

Maybe ask if he has the issue you're after first before bidding (or bid first, then ask, then retract bid if he doesn't have it)?

Not sure I'd get involved though to be honest.
