Premier League Discussion Thread Season 2014-15

Well, we have no defence so playing well is never gonna stop goals going in at the other end and given we only have 1 striker in the squad and 1 scoring midfielder if they don't score… we lose.
Arsenal on the other hand have at least 6 prolific goal scorers in the squad and a couple of decent back-up players who can score.
Just couldn't see past an Arsenal win today. I'm relieved it's only 0-1. If we're really really really lucky. We may get something out of this. But i won't hold by breasts. :lol:

Pete's right though, every time the ball goes anywhere near our penalty area there's a goal threat. I mean WTF was Rose doing when the cross went over for the first goal? He literally just watched him run past him! The back definitely needs work.
 
So gutted we conceded in the 92nd minute. How Man U are where they are in the table, I will never know. Wish we'd kept on going for more after we'd scored, as we clearly shut up shop, which is a dangerous game. Noble should've made it 2 though :( Feels like a defeat :(

Agree as well but when you have the quality in the final third it counts. Look at the Southampton game away UTD had two shots on goal and won 2-1. That said the West Ham game yesterday Man Utd had 5 more attempts on goal than West Ham. I think 1-1 was a fair result. Also Chelsea and Southampton are the only teams to concede less goals than Man Utd.

Were not playing well though and need to improve fast. :roll:

Really? I think we carried out a daylight robbery on Sunday. West Ham did well. we didnt win a singe header in the box all game and were. Extremely fortunate tpo escape with a point and our good run in tact.

We were awful and I have never seen a United side so poor and devoid of ideas going forward. Di Maria is no were near worth 59 mill!

I also agree on both points Cazza.

You've never seen a utd side so poor, you should have seen them in the late 80's. Everyone likes to think Utd never play well especially the media, just because we spent 150 million last summer doesn't mean we're suddenly going
to strole a top 4 spot. Judge them at the end of the season anyway. Yes they are playing bad but we're not conceding silly amount of goals and are hard to beat.

As for never seeing a Utd side so devoid of ideas going forward, did you watch Utd last season?
