Plans for New Years Eve?

Hi all I know this is a dark time for us all ATM, but lets try to enjoy New Years Eve, i'm sure its what Carrie would want us todo. What are your plans? Be going round my best mates for a few drinks and a bite to eat play a few games. Its a double celebration cause on the 1st of Jan its his birthday its a special one this year be his 30th told me he isn't looking forward to it.

Can't do with New Years Eve any more - I'm officially the NYE Grinch! Everywhere massively overcharging and rammed full. Then there's the post midnight carnage in town centres. Come midnight I'll be sat with the one of our two dogs who's terrified of fireworks. Don't even get me started on those.

The plus side of this is feeling fine on New Year's Day, getting a decent walk in and enjoying the little time left before the back-to-work slog.

Like I said, NYE Grinch!!

I'm a NYE Grinch too..
I'll go running in the morning, be asleep by 10:30 and up to run my first race of the year on New Years Day... only thing is its about an hour and a half drive from home and starts at 9am... The joys of being grown up and not being bothered by overpriced alcohol and hangovers anymore :wink:

I'll be contemplating why humans celebrate such a man made measurement of time which is completely fabricated to the convenience of modern civilisation and why we celebrate it with so much faith. :lol:

I'm joking We've got good friends staying over, so will be partying until about ten past midnight and the hit the sack.

It's actually roughly the year 4.5 billion give or take 200 million years each way. :roll: :lol:

Back from my mates had a great time.

Evening went to plan, but had an odd result at my two race events this morning. Both of them (just 5ks) starting an hour apart, I ran in exactly the same time to the very second! Not crazy fast, but certainly not slow and I wasn't looking at my watch while running. Nice flukey way to start the year! :shock:

I can't be arsed with it at all. Just ended up watching wolf of wall street. Had a much better night on Friday with the star wars midland lads

had the family round for the celebration and was up by myself watching force awakens till around 4, now i'm on the pc while the wife watches her soaps,had a few beers, good times

Sure enough I was sitting with the dogs for an hour whilst World War 3 sounded to be starting outside. Typically both of the buggers slept right through it!
