Ok

Does anyone know the precise details of the 'gift' option on PayPal.

I know it's fee free when receiving, but...

1) Is there a limit to amount that can be sent as a gift?
2) Is there a limit to the amount that can be received as a gift?
3) From what source does the send have to fund money (Bank account, balance, credit/debit card) ?

Cheers

Gary

Only thing I know about sending as a gift amount, you end up paying the fee not the person who receives the money  (or that might be an option lol)

No as a gift there is no fees. I have sold quite a lot past few weeks outside ebay included my AFA POTF yakface. With money sent through paypal as a gift. There was no fees. Just bought my 2 palitoy through paypal paided for them as a gift no fees again. Dont think there is a limit gary

That is odd I sure I payed the fee for the transaction when I did it..

there is 2 TYPES of gift transaction

1 no fee's - i would say NON business and UK

2 offer to pay the fee's FOR the reciever - this is probably to international OR business sellers

ONLY send "as gift" to trusted people guys as i dont think u get the usual PP guarantee if some thing goes tits up

Is this Fee free gift option still available?

At the moment it's only giving me the option to pay the fees or the receiver!!!

Just checked they are charging for sending money with in the uk

I've only experienced a fee charge if you use gift and a credit card. If I'd have chosen bank transfer there was no fee. I don't have a paypal balance to have had that option.

Right, just checked with Paypal.

And yes, if it's from a bank or paypal balance, there isn't a fee.
