As per title, not sure if anyone else has picked up on this or its been said already in another post, but you now get charged a fee for sending a gift "personal payment" to anyone else within the UK, just another way they have found to screw us over eh, no shock really but worthy of note so you know.

Now everybody bend over :|

Really, I sent 3 yesterday. 2 to browny and 1 to Fuzzy and didnt get charged on any of them. Has it come in today?? Would not surprise me in the slightest.

As I understand it if you have your paypal linked to a debit or credit card then you pay. If it's linked directly to your bank account then you don't.

Unless the rules have changed?

i thought they charged for gift payments if you use a visa/credit card to pay? if its via paypal funds or debit card its free.

but as its just a bank transfer you may as well just use your bank

Ok that's weird, I just tried the same and on my app on the iPhone it said underneath in small writing 'No fee for paypal balance or bank account using GBP in EU'.
Are you using a credit card to fund the payment, this will charge you 85p??

Sometimes (I reckon based on the money that you pay out) Paypal reverts from your bank account/debit card over to any credit cards listed on the account - if this happens then you have to pay for the gift payments

You guys are right!, I am a fool! they have changed the layout somewhat & I only glanced at the payment, it does say zero or so much if via credit card.

Oh well good news for gift payments again :)

Must read things rather than speed read/glance at things, panic over.

Why do they have to keep changing stuff, I am an IT spaz at the best of times, don't take much to confuse me

I agree with you there Frank, if it aint broke, don't fix it. Was having a right old mare with Hotmail the other night, it just would not attach a file so I could send it to my mum. left it 24 hours, then it worked.
