Only 1 in existence, Mint condition Star Wars talking book

Hi,

I'm Hew and I am ashamed to say have only just started to get into Star Wars . But better late than never!

My father-in-law, who used to work in publishing has kindly given me a mint condition, unique talking story book. Golden Books, where he used to work, was commissioned by Lucas Films to produce a taking story book, due to unforeseen financial problems all of these books had to be destroyed; apart from this one.

I am looking to sell this so others can enjoy it. It is in full working order, mint condition and the only one in existence.

If I were Mr Hew and would post this attempt here and would read that bitter cynical lines some of you have written, the last thing I would think is that this is a good place for a trustworthy deal.

Sorry guys. There is a chance, although as rare as he claims his book is, that he tells the truth.

That's fair enough mate i fully agree there's too many people on here lately just waiting to jump in with the snide comments I mean, due to financial reasons all the books got destroyed bar 1....surely it would cost more money to start the fire AND put it out aswell as clear up the mess??? Some people are made of money 8)

I do have pictures but my father-in-law took them so are terrible.
I will upload them however, and try and take some decent pictures within the week

In regards to the destroying of the books; I have the letter saying that the books are to be destroyed from Lucas Films; so believe what you like but I do have it in black and white. One survived

Pricing...I am open to offers as I am sure you guys will have a far better idea than I do.

Thanks for providing pics, but what I don't understand is why they all had to be destroyed for financial reasons?? Surely if finances are limited they would be sold off cheap to recoup losses?

Why has someone found a copy although probably different?
