Great video on this auction. This made me smile :D

Holy ****! 3.2 million

What would happen if you pressed to bid ...and won  Who bids on this stuff? :?

It's scary how many different people were willing...and able...to put a figure in the millions down on it!

I wonder if there are those types of collector in the star wars field too?

Like a pack of wolves ...albeit a very small pack of wolves. Money no object.

Personally I find it obscene. 3.2 million and something that once cost about 10p. I know people spend a bit on Star Wars but then there's that!

Yes, $3.2m for a comic is, on the face of it, somewhat ridiculous.

However, when compared to $179m for one painting? Hmmm. Picasso or not, unique or not, I don't believe $3.2m for the highest graded example of a character that has entertained 100s of millions of children and adults, perhaps provided a role model for some(!) and launched and entire culture (superheroes and all that falls out from that) is, on reflection, a bad price.

There are, definitely!

If you go an sell your widget/app for $100,000,000+ as seems to happen with increasing regularity, you're probably under 45 years old. These guys aren't buying antiques, they're buying comics and toys (and cars).

Anybody got a good idea for an app?
