I just don't understand why.
A vintage ERG can be picked up for a few pounds!

Agree I hope there is TP isn't going to be popular.

If it's the same as his Luke Stormtrooper I don't think he's putting any COO or date stamp markings on them so hopefully they won't be passed off as the real thing.

I hope you are right about that, I am just happy that I have the yak face figures that I need, I only need a moc now. But still scary they can end up in a lot and then people have to ask if there is a coo on them before buying if you can't see the difference :(

Me too i'm glad I bought all my loose figures years ago, can't imagine starting out as a new collector now having to deal with all this repro.

It is still pain in the ass for me since I collect variants :( but I do not need more yak faces :D

As I started collecting again recently this crap has happened to me :x

In a matter of days, weeks, I received several fakes /repros : a Romba /Wicket spear, a blue Luke Jedi lightsaber. Two Fake / repro Nikto staff: one painted, with a Barada figure the other one, plastic, with a Nikto figure. And lastly a fake /repro Vader lightsaber.

All on eBay , all presented as vintage . I have originals from my childhood to compare them to but unfortunately only once I have them in hands.

Questions usually gets ignored or they play the "I din't know card, it's your word against mine" ......

Thank god I have a mint Yakface with cardback from my childhood and I don't plan to buy another one anytime soon.

Thanks mate, I got a full refund for the Vader but had to send the figure back at my costs, I'm about to open a case for the Nikto figure as that was the latest one, I actually bid for the weapon not the figure but the seller hasn't responded to my eBay message yet.

One seller refunded 5€ and I kept the Romba, a figure I didn't have as a child, price was Ok so I didn't bother and so on......

If you bought it at ebay then you do not need to send anything back at your cost if the seller did not tell you it was repro. Seller also have to pay for the mail back to him or she + he or she should also refund the mail from him or she to you

I only ever buy off ebay if it clearly states original or the seller confirms it via messages. Thise are the only ways to make sure you're covered by ebay.

If I can be 100% sure of originality from the photos I'll buy it. Otherwise I avoid entirely or bid accordingly. Yes, ebay is full of repro but you have to shop smart.

Nothing is safe I think today :( but I have seen repro carbonite before, but this one does not look so good so that is the good news.

That's what I try to do, but as I said my questions usually get ignored, and sometimes good deals can't be missed. Some of the fakes I got (I don't even want to call them repros) came with figures that were either relatively cheap or part of a lot.

For instance the blue fake Luke Jedi lightsaber was part of a lot of PBP figures I bought for super cheap, since the seller clearly didn't know what he had I assumed it was real, but when it is too good to be true , it's usually .....too good to be true.

I bought the Nikto one to replace the fake Barada and boom two fakes in a row , how unlucky can you be? It was described as vintage original.
