New EU Sub Forum?

Hi guys, I've pm'd Edd about the possibility of this and it depends on demand. Would people be interested in an EU subsection where we could discuss books, comics, video games etc? There are a lot of threads already, and some which go off topic onto these areas, which would naturally lead into here. I have hundreds of novels and comics which I'd love to discuss. As well as some of the future directions of the EU. Thoughts?

A comics/books section would be cool. Just found a ROTJ summer special in the attic. Would post a photo but not sure there is interest in comics on the forum. Other none star wars comics would be good as well; 2000AD, MAD, etc.

While we're at it there should also be a different section for 'modern' sales. Sick of looking through sales threads only to find it's all new stuff.

There is a modern FS thread in the modern section. Newbies obviously don't pick up on this and post them in the FS vintage section. I've noticed the mods have moved a few to the correct place.

I love a bit of EU
Only read the comics - sorry graphic novels
I think I have virtually every one published, some are crap but some are great. There are some old school stand alones that rock, shadows of the empire etc, but I love the Republic series (clone wars) and the focus on Quinlin Vos, great stuff and Legacy was a great run.
Some of the really new stuff is a bit more miss, or maybe I am missing the point a little, certainly since the big stories finished a few years back DH are trying to launch loads of strands but nothing really jumping out at me, still buy them and read them.

If we go down the comics in general then I love a bit of Marvel and DC, mainstream I know but I got hooked on Marvel with the Civil War run and read all the Avengers, Iron Man, Cap, Winter Soldier and Black Widow stuff. On the DC side it is the big bad Bat, although with the New 52 rebrand I am trying Justice League, Wonder woman and Superman. But I can really recommend Batman Earth One, Superman Earth One and Wonder Woman Odysee as alternative reads on the characters, great stuff.

I think it will be a great addition and will open up a new SW experience for a lot of people
I ignored the books for years soon as I read my first one was hooked

It's another way to get a SW for all us junkies :lol: :lol: :lol:

I think the for sale thread for new items should be a seperate thing from the 'modern' forum so that newbs can see it, if you know what i mean :?

I agree with an EU section!! And a separate Modern For Sale section would be awesome!!

Can we get a lame fan fiction section too??

6 people so far, sorry but I'm not sure it's worth making a new forum just for 6 people to have a chat :lol: How about a sticky thread, and then we can create a new forum if the thread gets too big?
