My Childhood figures, cardbacks and Palitoy 12 and 20 backs

Slider: Kenner cards made it over to the UK for the first 12 figures, i think geography may play a part. In the Midlands Goldie Toys sold Palitoy and Kenner. In the ESB range my Yoda is also a Kenner, same as Fishtalks. I remember Yoda was hard to get hold of, so they probably just got a load of Kenner carded ones over from the US.

Hi Paul,

Didn't know that - in the North West I only remember seeing Kenner cards circa Jedi (and being mightily peeved that they had replaced lovely Palitoy!)

Great to see, so rare these days for any of us to have kept such a complete child hood collection, bet you have many memories of the figures and card backs. I'm very jealous.

The richest Star Wars collector in the world probably hasn't got what you've just lime-lighted and would never have it, it's something money can't buy.

Thanks for sharing, I think it's hit a cord with many of us on here

Superb. A mighty haul and extra Xmas presents due to your very wise Mum keeping all those, and the backers, so many childhood collections went by the wayside... so glad I still have mine (albeit a tad more modest). :)

Brilliant stuff, awesome limelight, thanks for sharing!

Beautiful collection you have :D and great to see such a amazing childhood collection with all those cardbacks, they must be great for some research.

Also a great trade you did as a kid with that jawa 8)

My God you must have been a good boy!
Absolutely amazing collection, and full of memories to boot :)
