That's extortionate! I think we have a winner... Jesus, my Palitoy Death Star only cost me £9.99 when new!

Know its not most expensive but some have mentioned least expensive, I have a klaatu that was probably purchased by me around 1982/3 from our local market shop for 50p happy days :) added as I do find the prices paid back then interesting, just marker pen in those day , (no class) where I used to shop

6.99 from Selfridges- says it all.

That might have been a very early Ben though, the price reflecting the novelty. Or might just be selfridges price tax.

My most expensive is this 4-Lom and my least expensive are Boba Fett and Gamorrean Guard.

Holy crap, that Ben  . Expensive even for Selfridges. Anyone know what this would have cost in a Toys R Us at the time?

Does anybody have any MOCs with Hamleys price stickers? I bet they were expensive in there. I have a boxed TIE Interceptor which has a £15.99 Hamleys price sticker which seems quite steep for a small-ish vehicle

Courtesy of an old sales thread, these were from the same lot as your interceptor Edd

I remember you could win a carded Gam guard at our local traveling funfair in 1989 if you could throw 3 darts at 3 separate playing cards on a stall. Would of thought it cost no more than 50p to have a go.

This is a great thread

Not quite in the Selfridges league but this Han Hoth was $4.95. I assume that's US but it may have traveled a bit

89?! Nice. Pretty rare to find a non bootleg toy at a funfair!

This one looks to be a staggering 7.40, not sure what currency but I assume Deutschemark could be possible as in 1983 that would be about £1.80 and the price sticker is from the NAAFI (Navy, Army and Air Force Institute - shops/bars on UK military bases)

Wow £6.99 is mental! And on a SW card too. The dearest I recall was £4.95 on the POTF figures in'85 (the one and only time I saw them) and thought **** that I'm done with SW!
