Hi Everyone,

I recently come to terms with having to sell my computer mod (1979 Kenner Millennium Falcon) and tried to list it on Ebay.

It sold twice!

Both times they were , lets just say not genuine, that or were hooky accounts or misbidders.

Just thought I'd join here as I'm a bit of a Star Wars fan and also like messing about with computers (I'm a geek for a living), and see if I have any luck here?

I read the introduce yourself thing, and saw that its been mentioned in another part of the site.

I did think it might have been people thinking it was sacrilege to do that to a Star Wars toy?

After it failed on the second time round, I thought I'd give it one more go, but wondered what peoples selling experiences were of Ebay, as I always seem to attract time wasters, and wondered why.

I' also geeing about with an R2-D2 computer, but not sure my girlfriend appreciates how cool I think it'll look when finished with all the lights and stuff.

Oh, and my names John.

Hi mate, if you look through the archives I believe your MF computer mod was a topic of discussion on here, looked cool.

Yeah top job on that mod, had a look at it myself & thought it was really cool, why not put it up for sale here?, you have no listing fees & it may sell, worth a punt.

& your not the only one to attract idiots on ebay, not difficult to do TBH as its full of them

Hi,

That's what Im planning to do.

That way it'd be sure of a good home, as I got quite attached to it as it took a few weeks to work out and build.

Got to sell it as I can then do my R2-D2 one.

I'll post some pictures of it and put it up for sale in a few days.

J
