how do you go about claiming off the post office. I sold a ps3 game on ebay before xmas for Ã'£20 including postage. I posted on 19th of december 1st class recorded which was the last day for delivery before xmas the buyer has not received it. And its not comming up as delivered on the royal mail website. The buyer has opened a dispute against me on ebay. I said i will refund them. And i will chase it up with the post office. How do I reclaim my money back off the post office

It should be on the receipt thingy they gave you when you posted it. There should be a number or email address.
I think the number is 08457 740740, though the receipt I have is a mess so best double check.

Royal Mail do not consider an item lost until after 15 working days - you can claim online (which involves filling out a form and printing it off) or pick up a claim form from a Post Office.

its been 10 working days since i sent it will they take xmas boxing day new years day and the 2nd it to it as well. There was no post on that days I posted on the last day the wednesday 19th which was garented for delivery before xmas. I also posted other stuff on the friday which arrived before xmas. The buyer has opened a dispute with me over it

Tell him the truth, you can't do anything about it for 5 working days. After that'll you'll reimburse him and claim off the post office. It may still turn up, the post is still ****ed after xmas/new year, and stranger things have happened,

I have told him all the truth the seller new on ebay its was only 20q am waiting on stuff worth worth 400-500q and getting no response of the sellers it can be bloody annoying at times ebay

Andy he is being a cock but i know what its like when you buy something and wait ages for it to be delivered. I have full proof of posting 1st class recoreded even if it is lost got it insured for 30q and it only sold for 20q including postage

1st class recoreded

He can track it online and as the number has been activated it has been posted - I can understand him being annoyed but if you have posted it what are you supposed to do? All very unreasonable - if a buyer has solid proof of posting I claim from Royal Mail not the seller.

I agree he is being a cock especially knowing what the service is like during christmas plus all the bank holidays in between he should have a bit more patient,

it was my birthday on december 21 and my sister sent my card on the 18th to get it here on time yet I never got it untill two days ago and it was first class and had the 18th stamped on it

As it was sent recorded delivery don't refund him until you get your money back from the Royal Mail.

You've got a receipt to prove you sent it so be patient and if he gives you a negative give him one back !!

I tell him he can just wait for the 15 work days to be up not including xmas boxing day new years day and the second paypal that bloody slow at responding if he does leave me negative feedback i will do the same to him only thing is his is at 2 and mines at 712 and 100% am not wanting my feedback dented over a 20q game

i had simular prob not so long back ,i told him i had proof of postage and would claim him his money back and thats all i was prepaired to do and any further matters to go through ebay ....item turned up next day
