Hmm not to confuse things here but when I sent a message to [email protected] I instantly got a Failure to Delivery e-mail notice (I thought I would ).

It's wierd that Joe wouldn't have seen that straight away and rechecked the address. He'd still have had time to sort things out.

Real shame to see such a great collection being broken up in such a manner. Still love the Imperial Gunner MOC and the dreadful artwork on the TIE Pilot.

Maybe am just reading this wrong but I am confused as ****.

If Mete and Joe had been talking about the piece why didn't he just sell it to him ? before the for sale post ? would have solved a hell of allot of problems when he knew Joe was Banned.

I know some people like to give everyone a chance on the item i suppose but if i have something i am going to sell and I know someone wants it then they will get the first refusal more so if I am friends with them. God some of my best deals lately have been behind closed doors and the pieces didn't see the light of day on any forums. Am I wrong in thinking this ?

Plus i don't get the Prick calling on Mete's email ? don't get me wrong I am not taking any sides I just think I may have picked this up wrong with the reply from Mete.

I am not into bootlegs as such myself , although I do like the c-3po's Uzay and I would Trade my oldest Brother for the Molds :mrgreen:
apart from them only the Hungarian one i like. I do have two or 3 other 3po's Bootlegs but i didn't buy any of them.

The items weren't Mete's to sell he was brokering the deal. I think the other guy wanted the best price he could get which was higher than Joe valued the piece? Can't blame him if so.

So here's how it all went down (and I'm only writing this for the purposes of being fully transparent). The seller and I agreed the best way to sell these would be on RS. There is a group of bootleg collectors who are part of a mailing list, which includes all the people involved in the situation. So I sent a heads up email to the group as a favor, saying look out for this FS thread which I will be posting on RS soon. Joe emailed me, told me he wanted the ERG, but couldn't post he wanted it since he was banned. So I emailed him back, and CC'ed a common friend, who would claim the ERG for him.

Before I could post the FS thread, I realized there were still some details about shipping, payment options which I hadn't clarified with the seller. So I emailed the group back saying please hold on, I will post it in about 24 hours. Lots of people got upset, because they were waiting by their computers to pounce on the goodies. Some nasty things were said, both to me and by me. Things escalated. Eventually I posted the FS thread, then sent an email to the group again, telling them it was up. Someone else got the ERG by email, which is where we stand now.

Why didn't I just sell to the bootleg group? Because the seller wanted to reach a larger audience. Why didn't I just sell to the people who wanted the figures at the sellers prices? Because these were not my figures, and I'm not going to play favorites with things which are not in my possession. I follow the sellers rules, because he is the seller, and I am just brokering. I didn't divulge any details about the sale (no prices or anything), except that the headman was already claimed.

Just apologise to each other FSS it's clear that it's just a big misunderstanding.

Look one of you apologise, either or and if the other one doesn't accept then they are more the fool. It's gone way beyond the disappointment of the initial breakdown on the sale. It's personal now and there's no need, you could both come out of this solid with each other and have a virtual e-beer over it in seconds. SO... who's gonna be the bigger man and offer the branch of peace first???

Come on boys there's worse **** in the world than this. Trust each others word...it's a ...misunderstanding.

I'm a newby and agree with previous input about the higher end collectors getting heavy.

Personally I'm on here and collect because I love Star Wars and collecting, and the higher end collectors have so much experience to give
So it would be a real shame for someone to pack it in over misunderstanding/ fall out....come on lads .....it's only a hobby and plastic....

Well he told me the highest offer he had gotten for it. Initially when Murat posted the thread showing the figures, he got a lot of offers for the headman which he passed onto the seller. The seller then allowed me to match the offer and agreed to sell it to me at that price. Expensive as ****, but its only the fifth known headman sword. I actually did it specifically to send to a friend (I promised to find him one ages ago and am very happy to deliver

Now look at this....I already wondered why you bought the headman, because you already have a complete one. So you bought it for a friend, helping him out....Kudos on that. Your "friend" is hopefully very happy now! :mrgreen:

And IMO thats the point. The small group of bootleg collectors: it is a shark tank. If such collections turn up it is like 200 gallons blood dumped into this tank.
Loyalty is very rare, but there is collectors helping out each other....and Mete is one of those...as is JoeY. Joe is also known for helping out friends over years now. So both are the good guys here, and IMO there is no one to blame. What happend is history and both parties should just move on. It isnt helping to dump more blood in the tank.

BTW: I wasnt on "that" email list.....maybe next time??? :lol: :lol:

What I personally think is:
Joe and Murat were once close. I think Murat sold his childhood collection to Joe, maybe not all figures, but most of those. So Murat comes back to RS and JoeY is banned by now. I would assume this is or was the first thing Joe didnt like very much. I guess if he wouldnt have been banned from RS, Joe would be the man brokering the stuff. As said, this is just an assumption and I dont want to drag down Mete beeing in charge now.....just what comes into my mind regarding the whole thing here.


PS: Thats why I only look out for the rest....stay away from the sharks and try to pick up whats left. Or I hope that someone remebers me and offers an item only to me. :lol:

PPS: It is interesting to see that many of the bootlegers didnt post a word by now. I guess a lot of people just dont want to get involved, beeing friends with both and of course want to buy from both....LOL.

PPPS: I hope both of you guys consider my posts on RS and here as fair and at least honest. I really hope to get some pieces too....LOL....you know...whats left in end
