Deadpool 1&2 and Kingsman are Blu-ray

No idea which version of The Crow is closest to the comics as I've never read them, but apart from Shelley being hot in the recent one it's a complete waste of 90 minutes. Stick to the original imo

Loved that film when I was a kid- does it hold up well? Not seen it for years.
Yes I would say it does. Always liked war films and Oliver Reed. Found the full film on YouTube the other day after watching on DVD typical lol

Just finished Captain America: Brave New World.
Decent Marvel film, nothing to write home about, beyond the attention to detail in the CGI for the Red Hulk - they kept Fords scar perfectly

Watched the last Mission Impossible at the weekend. Preposterous in places, but well made, characters you root for, exciting, nail-biting etc etc. The stunts are incredible, even more impressive that Criuse does them all himself. Amazing.

Minecraft movie. Would you believe, it's *****.
Jason Mamoma has let himself go. Jack Black is even fatter than the last time I saw him.

For two weeks since I was subjected to the eldest hasn't stopped singing "Steve's lava chicken". If anyone has kids who sing this OVER AND OVER AND OVER, you'll appreciate how enjoyable it is.

I haven't seen it, but the kids have - the youngest is chicken jockey obsessed

Just sat through, and endured, Ghost Busters Frozen Empire.
I enjoyed the last one, the reboot, but this one left me cold..sorry!
So many guest appearances from previous films and a crap story.
Still the best thing is the Theme tune.
Watch at your peril….😉

Watched it last night. Thought it was ok, all felt a bit flat and disjointed.

Me too! I think we were spoiled with the first load of Marvel films, up to Endgame. They were consistently good quality. This one wasn't terrible, it was just a bit meh.

Just finished "A Working Man", on Amazon. Basically it's every Jason Statham film you'll have seen from the last 10 years. Decent enough for what it is, but unremarkable.

Anyone into video nasties here? I love some of those old titles like Island of Death, and The Beyond. The Fulci stuff is class. But recently I saw Frankenhooker on Prime. Now that movie is batshit crazy. Not a nasty, but gets my recommendation.

Is that the one with the AI computer thing? If it was, I watched that recently and turned it off. Too much going on, and way too long.

Watched Jurassic World: Rebirth last week. Some good stuff and much better than the last two, but feels like a pretty tired retread. Probably worth a trip to the cinema, but only just.

i am really starting to like leo now he is getting good roles ,have you seen aviator ,great film and great acting
Leo is great. I find that I like him and Brad Pitt more as they've aged. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood became one of my favourite all time films, and I love Pitt in Bullet Train.

I've an interest which goes back to when I was watching horror films in the 1980's. I've a small selection of VHS pre-certs like The Brood and Rabid but none of the banned 'nasties'. Last year I tried several times to join the www.pre-cert.co.uk forum without success. The registation process just didn't work for me so so I gave up.

UPDATE: I just now tried that forum and it logged me in! There must have been a problem with the server for a long time or a huge backlog of new members waiting to get authorised. Lots of browsing to do now.

I'll have to have a look at that forum. My all time favourites are The Beyond New York Ripper and Island of Death. If you haven't seen those, then I highly recommend all three. Island of Death is particularly unique for me due to the filming style and interesting concepts. It's also one of the more perverse and deranged nasties. My thoughts on the video nasties are that only about 25% are actually any good. For the most part these were very low budget and fairly unimaginative movies turned out by film companies who exploited the pre cert laws. A lot of them are just terrible films with some elements of gore, exploitation or sometimes just a disturbing cover on the box.

On Netflix last night I watched Don't Worry Darling. Definitely check that one out. Twists and turns all over the place. Excellent film.
