Super set of Palitoy cards there Lee and one funky looking Yoda!!!

My recent and first Tri-Logo MOC, im hoping he's legit :? i don't know how to tell with Tri-Logo's so any help or advise how to compare fakes with the real McCoy's would be appreciated, thanks.

Looks good to me mate, very nice condition!

The bubbles can sometimes have those ridges at the top like this :

They can also be squared/rounded off like yours seems to be, very nice shape for a trilogo bubble by the way :)

Also most trilogos have brown snakes , Coco probably knows better about orange/brown snake tri's but as I said it looks fine here :)

-=- One final thing, you can stop worrying about a lack of any waffle pattern, Trilogo figures don't have them :)

I really shouldn't look here, I'll get the bug back sooner than expected. Some nice buys recently chaps and Lee, I love those Pali's 8)

Nice to see you back ! Oh come on, you know you want to ;)

Well yes and no, you can get close to a real bubble but you can't replicate it 100%, after all the process and materials are 25 + years old :)
(then again this being your first you have nothing physical to compare it to which I understand can fuel some worry)
If you are genuinely worried about a possible reseal, repro bubble/seal then send some good pictures to Coco, he can let you know for sure.

Another factor for me would be the seller and the price, a trilogo yoda is not a ROTJ Klaatu if you get what I mean, so if you got a deal that might be too good to be true then investigate by all means!

From your pictures I will stick by my guns and say it is original ! 8)

Nice Trilogo Yoda! I would have to agree with Joe that it looks good to me. I only have one Trilogo in my collection though, so I am by no means an expert. Most recards always look a little off to me, but the recarders are always improving their techniques so you never know.

To be honest as they were the cheapest and most generic cards produced they really vary in quality, I have owned probably 50/50 Kenner + Trilogo and although most of the trilogo cards had minor differences, the only one I wasn't happy about was an AT-ST driver on a really flimsy cardback..

I later found out that it was probably legit as well, the card stock differs quite a bit depending on which country ran them out the factory..

Doh! Still, never liked the AT-ST driver

@ Jukesy - The bubble on my Tri Yoda has the groves like Joe pointed out on his 8D8 but there are a few different bubble variations, so I can't be sure :?

Here is my latest for the 47 back run :D

Jukesy go to webshots.com and search "trilogo yoda" I am sure there will be enough images to do a good comparison search.

Still, let us know the background on it and who you got it from that might be able to shed some light on things.

And that is a lovely DSD coco!

What do you make of the new 47 back discovery? does it move the goalposts a bit?

OK I found one that looks like yours, like coco said his and many others have the grooves as I showed you but this one hasn't, it also has the slightly slanted bubble like yours appears to have:

I suppose you could always send it in to AFA if you can't get the answers from pictures and asking around, judging by the looks of it it'll probably get an 80
