Hi lads,

I wont be opening it. George sold it to me, He is one of the good guys. I sold him a couple of top end POTF carded figures last year so he returned the favour. Im well pleased.

Dont worry i wouldnt consider destroying any MOC for a Ugrade but it is a beater in my opinion.

Thanks again

Grant. 8)

I think it's a great MOC Grant, glad it went to a deserving home, you should definitely bump this topic over on RS with this little surprise to confirm the card it belongs on - http://threads.rebelscum.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB1&Number=2961084&Forum=f1&Words=orange&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Main=2961084&Search=true&where=sub&Name=&daterange=1&newerval=&newertype=&olderval=&oldertype=&bodyprev=#Post2961084

Great stuff mate, and please when you bump that topic stick up loads of pictures :D

Oh and with regard to it being a beater, I guess if it was a nikto with a yellow crushed bubble then fair enough, but of course the term can be thrown out the window when talking rare items, anything rare thats still carded in ANY shape has to stay on it ! 8)

Congrats on finding the orange hair Luke.
I think it should stay on the card but it's yours to do what you want with it.
Again, a great find.

Yeah I guess it's not rare in the grand scheme of things but definitely sought after, I mean it is only really a Luke figure with a short paint colour run during the ESB era but with the variation craze still going strong you must admit it is probably on every variant collectors top five and that's LOOSE let alone carded..

Joe when you put it like that I suppose... Im still after a nice loose example tho but im having no luck.

I know Scards22 sold his AFA graded loose orange luke for quite a tidy sum, if I am not mistaken that was about $2k or something silly, he mentions it in one of those RS threads!

Joe I think it was $1000. I asked him about it a few weeks back.

Grant.

Well still 1k or 2k thats still either 999 or 1,999 more than I would pay for one

Well done Grant, pleased for ya mate. I know you've been putting a lot of effort into getting one.
:)
If any of the contacts you've come across in yr chase come thru with another then give me a yell. It's just moved to the top of my hit list!

Nice score Grunter :)

It's as if a million Luke 41E's alll cried at once in terror and were suuddenly silenced. I hope the U brigade doesn't start nailing these left right and centre now they know what to look for :(
I wonder why Mattias hasn't mentioned before what card his orange haired Luke is on??? seems strange with all the threads going on about it. I guess he didn't want everyone to know what to look for

I can't top the ginger Luke but will show off my new item tonight ;) The one I have been pissing my pants over for 3 weeks!

He has been paying it off though £5 at a time don't forget. She was ordered years ago

Tim is too old for all that, first time he goes to use it will give him a heart attack

Lets hope they dont!

Its a hard to find card as it is without the U graders taking the last few out of circulation.

Here you go then guys , I have tracked this piece since it first appeared for sale the first time last year, I was getting funds together to buy it when it was sold and disappeared! It resurfaced very recently from another ebayer (think it changed hands twice since I first saw it)

The seller wouldn't send international and to be honest he was a bit of a prick, several friends (Skemple included) asked various questions on my behalf and he was at best "short" with his answers.

Rebelchris from RS twisted my arm and bid on the piece for me and got it very quickly!
It took a long time to arrive but its finally here!

AFA 80 8D8 Trilogo + Clipper Offer

As far as AFA goes this is 1 of 1 graded (seen 3 in almost 2 years and I own 2 of those 3 ;) )

I am pretty **** at taking pictures at the best of times let alone dealing with reflections ! sorry for the pictures!

It is the best Trilogo I have ever seen, no dents , unpunched !!!

Cracking Tri-logo Joe - congrats on the purchase.

That card looks better than an 80 and I bet if it were a 'Kenner' cardback it would have got '85' - AFA always seem to mark down Tri cardbacks because of the slight spots of cardboard 'fray' from where they were diecut from the sheet. However, still a beauty and it's found a good home.

BTW I was looking at the pop reports this morning and saw that that particular figure report had been looked up more than any other this week and just thought 'I bet that was Joe!' :)

Regards,
Christian

Thanks Emiel and Christian! Such a relief for it to arrive, I didn't want it on my head that the only one graded went missing on its way to me! LOL

As for the condition, spot on Christian, if it was Kenner figure it would grade an 85 all day long :( Still I am not worried about the grade it got as I only paid $99 for it :D :D :D :D :D :D

And yeah thats always me looking up the reports I like to check out AFA from a bystanders view normally, but this time I just kept reminding myself that it was finally on its way to me lol
