Lol!!

Ok well....i bought the Luke from the US, it was a DARK BROWN LUKE! i got the figure in the post and straight away i could tell it was a fake (repainted) i was well pissed off, i emailed Pete (gustie) with some pics to verify it, he agreed, but we both noticed that the colour under his hair at the back was slightly shwing and it was orange, well i scraped a bit off with my fingernail to reveal the ginger/orange underneath.

i was going to email the seller and tell him i hadnt recieved it so i would get my money back i was that pissed off, but i think ill keep it now

How did you get the rest of the paint off mate without touching the original paint?

What is the origin of the orange Luke? I must admit seeing the three main hair colour variations side by side
is pretty cool !!

unfortunately i have taken quite a bit of the original paint off, i used a craft knife to gently scrape it off, but its worn it down and left a few light patches.....

gustie has just contacted m saying he's seen an AFA one go for 1k.... :shock:

i dont know what the AFA would think of it but i think its worth a stab!!

Did a bit of digging on RS and found a few topics on the orange haired Luke, seems to come originally from the US on possibly 41 back ESB cards, a small batch made it out with that coloured paint then I guess, quite a cool figure anyway

Hello,

I bagged a ginger haired Luke from EBay this week from Craig Ginter but Im not sure if it will turn up as he
has not answered my emails i sent him asking him about postage.
I have my fingers crossed tho.
It was only £35 so I think it was worth a try to see if it is a real ginger or just a light brown.

What do you guys think, Ginger or Brown.

If it was an auction and NOT advertised as an orange hair, merely just a "Luke" then that's what I meant about the price, someone was probably willing to pay almost as much as you for just a brown one!

It is a funny thing when the market prices change because I guess on one hand it's nice to know your toys/"investments" are holding their value or increasing, but then again if they keep rising what ****er is gonna keep paying those prices! Which soon means they will come down lol

Glad I just collect for me, I would hate to be a dealer! I would have probably bought when the market was high and sold it all when it was low! :roll: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
