Cool steve, glad he arrived ok.

Does anyone know why the toltoys figs get this spotting?

Either too much sun + beer or snake/spider bites

Cool toltoys ben Steve, i am still looking for one myself.

The spotting plastic degradation from sunlight. (like green limb chewie)
Only toltoys used this kind of plastic with a component in at the jawa and ben figures and why they often have these spots

Re the Tri-logo Stormie pictured a couple of posts above by Plantman - the value IMHO is between £65-£80 in that condition to the right buyer. I suspect it would grade at 75 or 80 and if it received an 80 then £120-£140. Sweet score & congratulations on the pick up.

Cheers,
Christian.

There's a tri stormy at a £60 BIN on ebay at the moment - what did you pay Plantman?

Nowt special but picked up two POTF coins, dont really want the carded coins but the Gam guard is one of the more difficult ones to get.

I think that may be the one i bought, i paid £56 for that one, its in lovely condition

sounds like a good price - the stormie i saw was a current listing, so it couldn't be your one - unless he relisted it????

Here are 2 of my latest acquisitions:

I have also bought a few lots of loose figs from ebay and some in pretty good nick. Going to sort through these over the next few days and list here and on RS the ones i am going to sell.

nice one Steve - can't believe how tight Christian is

loving the extreme close up photograph of Ackbar - he looks metallic

This is my third. Obviouly all chewie.

I have the one seen above, a return of the Jedi and a ESB (31 back - if i remember rightly). I would love to add a SW card proof one day but dont have the money to put down on it. I know where one is and i may have to start saving to get it.

Steve

what's there to look for when getting those cards? Making sure they're legit etc

if you want to learn about proof cards try - http://swproofcards.com/

No problem :) Enjoy it, I had a complete read sometime ago and it really is a lot more informative than I thought it would be, plus you get to
see some very awesome artwork/proofs

That web site is very informative from what to look for to how to care for proofs. I have this saved as one of my favourites and ever so often take a quick look.

The three proofs i have purchased have come from reputable sellers, the ESB one came from Max.

As i said - one more to go - a SW proof of chewie. I had better start saving!!!!!!!!!!

Steve

That is the good thing about having a character focus rather than a specific type of run. I can collect anything as long as it is chewie orientated.

I have another fantastic item on its way to me from the USA. It is very unusual indeed and i cant wait to post pics on this thread.

I will keep you all in suspense.

There was a vintage Chewbacca rug kit or something along those lines on ebay a few weeks back Steve that I sent a link to Skye about!!! but I forgot about you :(!Do you have this rug or rug kit I am talking about?I will try and find a picture of it!

",....I have only found this rug kit listed 1 other time and the same kit was selling for $900.00 (O.B.O.) on here through a Fantasy Movie Collectible Rarities Store!! And it sold on Best Offer for $775.00!!! I have not seen one since"

Well if the above is true he didn't do very well !

Definitely an item only a completest or a focus collector could love  (are they sometimes the same thing ? :D )

You guys guessed right. A member from RS sent me a message about it and i was the winning bidder. I think i got myself a bargain. It is still sealed and looks absolutely mint.

The seller is also selling an R2 kit and a Vader kit if anyone is interested.

I will post better pics when i receive it,.

Nice proof.
Often considered buying a few myself, but there not cheap and I have enough half finished focus's/foci as it is!

some of those proofs are bloody expensive ........ £2-5000??? ........ jesus

seen a Luke Revenge though for about £170 , kinda like that one

I dont think they missed much. This obviously appealed to those people who enjoyed the arts and crafts side of the film!!.. Either way it will be an awesome peice added to my collection when it finally arrives.

Steve

Loving your squids Andy.

I have just typed in variant and PBP into ebay searches.
I haven't used those searches for a very long time but I think I may be going down that road again.

I've been buying up some Ledy's, should be here soon.
