Received this beauty today, won on Ebay. Wanted one for a while. Came well packaged and included box inserts and really nice example of R2 and the electrics work . Apparently a loft find, found in the sellers parents loft after 40 years. Got to say that it's been well stored.

The reason I bought the Y-Wing was due to the following reason, I've recently lost a close friend to cancer, the week before she sadly passed, I went to see her to say our goodbyes. When I left, she gave me an envelope with the strict instructions not to open until I returned home!! In the envelope was a card with the message "Buy something Star Wars, enjoy" and a gift of cash!!. My friend was one of the most organised, friendly and selfless person I have ever met. She is very much missed by all who had the privilege to know her

This is why the Y-Wing will have pride of place in my collection and will be especially treasured
