A few weeks ago, a mate from work came around. He was looking at my SW stuff and noticed I didn't have a Death Star canopy. He said his childhood Death Star was long gone, but he thought he had randomly seen the canopy in a box of old MOTU stuff he'd given to his kids. I saw him today and low and behold, he still had it and he gave it to me. The only bit I needed and the only bit he had left- it was meant to be! Despite being the usual orangy colour, it's in fabulous condition.

Great to complete the Death Star after all these years and being resigned to probably never getting it completed. Even sweeter that it was my friend's last remaining Death Star piece, which needed a good home.
That's brilliant

Really pleased with this. My first ever Vectis (or any other auction other than EBay).
It has a slight crack in the bubble (in the Vectis description) but considering that it's unpunched, the card is excellent and it's not a common MOC I'm delighted for £72 (Inc fees), especially given previous sales prices!

Ah…you won that did you, well done, fantastic price.
I was going to bid on it but had to pop out and missed the lot!
My loss, your gain, I would have gone a fair bit higher on this one…😏

Thanks for all the likes lads, just like old times!
@lejackal i can highly recommend going down the popy route, I think they're still pretty affordable when you compare them to their moc counterparts. And you don't need to worry about a yellow bubble

I scored a personal grail the other day. Something I've been looking for for a very long time. A cardback or item with a price sticker from my childhood toyshop in Rayleigh, Essex - Peter Jones. I've posted on threads about it before. Finally got a tip off and managed to buy this 45 back Zukuss card. So chuffed 😊 Big thanks to Dan Whiteley for the tip off and Adam Booth for the card 👍

So chuffed for you, Andy!

Thanks mate. It's difficult to explain how much this means to me. It's worth more than anything else in my collection (apart from my childhood toys) sentimental wise. To think it could have been hanging on the peg in that shop when I was in there 40 years ago. Blows the mind 🤯

Lovely to see some popys being added, been almost the same amount of time for me adding anything Scott, tracking the mini catalogs down for these is not an easy or cheap task anymore, good luck putting them back together!

That tie pilot misscard is pretty damn awesome Gary, never seen that one either, great combo! I'd like to think I could add a few more to my very meager run of them, damn they got pricey though.
