Cheers mate and nice memories 8) I don't suppose u rem what boxed piece it came in :?:

I'm guessing the Falcon as I didn't get much early in the ESB run. I can't be at all sure though.

Yeh I would have said Falcon too and maybe original X-Wing in the Empire box. I wonder if it was ever found in any late to the shelf SW boxed pieces too :?:

The Palitoy first issue ESB poster would have been found in the first wave of ESB toys, which were the Twin Pod Cloud Car, Darth Vaders Star Destroyer and the Snowspeeder - but only in first issue boxes without the Bounty Hunter offer icons.

It's possible that some of the Star Wars branded toys that were still on sale circa 1980 (those that didn't transition to ESB packaging) might have had it too, in fact I have seen it in the Imperial Troop Transport.

Some nice items guys. I got this recently, its a 41bk, been neatly opened down one side. Does look good on display.

Got to love a Hoth Stormie on an ESB card. Looks great :)

A bargain basement acquisition and one that crosses my love for SW with 2000AD, which I read avidly until I got into US comics.

I've been after an ROTJ album, both empty and full. Then on a Norwegian FB auction group I saw someone selling 2000AD Prog 333 with promotional polybag, ROTJ Panini album plus pack of stickers. I'd never seen one before and out in a hefty bid but, when the price topped £50 came to my senses and looked elsewhere.

By sheer chance, a listing popped up on eBay with a BIN. It was for 14 issues of 2000AD including Prog 333. A quick question confirmed all was present. £17.80 all in secured the 14 Progs. In there was 333 in mint condition (even with it's original WH Smiths receipt for 20p from their Basildon store) along with the mint sticker album and unused pack of stickers. Also was Prog 320 which had amazing cover art and a awesome double page spread inside. A bonus was that the other issues that came with freebies (posters and the like) also had their freebies with them and all were unread. Just need to track down the Eagle and Buster issues now as they would make a pretty cool set, I think.

Incidentally, if anyone has a lead on a box of unopened ROTJ Panini stickers I would be most grateful. I remember these fondly.

Perhaps Edd can help with this: That box art for the ROTJ Atari game doesn't look like the version they issued? That looks like the "Move Along" scene when I thought they used a Death Star, Falcon and Tie Interceptor space scene?

WOW! 2000AD and Star Wars - now that's a marriage made in heaven.
What a cracking piece, really cool and surely a rare survivor with the poly bag.

That's great, I too was a devoted 2000AD subscriber. I remember the Condo story, Carlos Ezquerra art! I don't remember that cover though with Gam Guards on it - wow, I love it.

I would have thought so, but they are about. The one on the FB group prompted me to have a search and I found one in the US for about £40, and then checking eBay.co.uk 4 have sold since begining of August, 3 with polybags and the one without the bag came with two packets of stickers. Generally they seem to go for around £20 including postage.

Incidentally, Prog 334 came with a single free pack of stickers but I'm yet to find out if that one came in a polybag or not. I'm guessing they did some kind of promo for ESB, as well and possibly SW, as 2000AD started in Feb 1977, but I haven't done much digging into it yet.

Now there lies an expensive lesson I learned about 10 years ago in ending eBay auctions early. I had bought some Carlos Ezquerra Strontium Dog artwork back in the mid 90s.....£10 a page. I had about 4 or 5 pages plus a cover by another artist. 2000AD artwork used to be available by the BOX load at comic fairs! I never got around to framing it and needed money so eBayed it. Some guy offered me £50 a page. "Yes please" I said. Ended auctions, etc. LOTS of angry messages later I learned it was worth about £150-£200 a page. The full story is even more interesting but I'll tell you that over a beer if you make it to a FF, Matt :)

I managed to get an empty and worn Panini box and two packets of stickers over about five years. I find them surprisingly thin on the ground.

You can tell me all about that tale at FF too mate :)

I also recall buying original 2000ad artwork at the Westminster Comic Con in the early 90's. Mave fave piece was by Pete Dougherty, a Dredd/Stontium crossover I think, stunning artwork. There was boxes of the stuff on one stall, starting at £10 a page!

Westminster was an awesome show.

I was also a big 2000AD fan from prog one onwards and still have a lot of the comics stashed away. It's funny that I can't remember that cover either but I know it's where I got Jedi sticker album from so I guess the sticker album took over for that week and I probably didn't even read the comic  .

Great find though and in cracking condition.

That Atari box artwork was for a game that was never releaed. They only releaed the one with the space scene. The game artwork you can see is actually a stormtrooper on Endor. I think there are some Ewoks on it as well.

Ah, yeah, Endor would make more sense! Have the mock ups ever surfaced or was there a title for the game?

Not rare or expensive but really chuffed to finally add these to my collection. Sy and Max are happy now if I can just find a flute for poor old Droopy :D

There's this on wikipedia which may or may not be correct - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Return_of_the_Jedi:_Ewok_Adventure

And here's more info at SWCA - http://theswca.com/images-packa/revenge-video-games.html

A fantastic few pages of buys. Loving it all but special shouts for the letraset, cloud city playset and Judge Dredd freebies all brilliant and things you don't see very often
