Latest Acquisitions

Bit of a tenuous LA post this, but we're planning on moving so had to go in the loft and make space so that we can hide some of the debris in the house up there. Whilst up there I found a couple of bits that I haven't seen for 30+ years (and frankly didn't know I had) and thought I'd also put a picture up of a MOC I bought 3 or 4 months ago that I never got around to posting then.

And finally, did this poster come with the B-wing or something else?

Oh Martin, your treasure trove of vintage goodness saved from your childhood just keeps on giving! Fantastic pictures, truly priceless! Hope you get them framed up or displayed with your vintage!

Oh and the poster was packed with various different ROTJ/Trilogo era boxed toys, quite a common one and not vehicle specific.

Just finished off a payment plan for these - some cracking additions to the DSD focus

You might recognise some of these from Jason Millers focus over on RS - it was broken up recently and although I missed out on most of the really good stuff then I was lucky to pick these up - I have also gone from having no DSD baggies to having 4 of them!

Need to get them all into some nice shiny new cases - and then do a group should - must have about 15 different MOCs now

Really nice Iain, one things for sure you can never be accused of doing things by half measures.

Here's the latest additions to my trilogo run, two Luke's on 70c cardbacks. Luke Jedi is fairly common on this cardback, but the farmboy is pretty rare. In fact the person I bought it from who knows his stuff says he has only seen two before. Very happy to add him to my collection.

Wow your trilogo luke is awesome

I've added this beauty to my collection yesterday

I don't pop on here for a few days and I miss some amazing pieces!
Love the ceramic R5, is that from the salt n pepper set with R2?

It certainly is. I've only wanted the R5 so when one appeared at a great price I had to have it. Then got shafted on customs.

Some great additions guys.

It's been more than a year since I have had anything to add to this thread and I count myself extremely lucky to do so now. I spotted this in a lot of 4 mini rigs on a Dutch auction site. Obviously the seller didn't know what she had and neither did any of the other bidders. I felt elated when she accepted my bid for the lot at a fraction of the price these went for a few years ago when prices were 'normal', let alone what it would have fetched with a more knowledgeable seller and bidders now.

So here it is. I had given up hope of ever owning one of these. Needless to say I'm over the moon with it.

And here's the finished run.

I have never, ever seen a Trilogo MTV-7! or an AST-5 for that matter. The ISP-6 feels more familiar but I can't swear to have seen one. Great find! What's the story behind these? I know they did the POTF line in trilogo boxes and, obviously, the One Man Sail Skiff. So they went backwards and did the last 3 minirigs as well?

Went to a local toy show yesterday and came home with a few items. Nothing earth shattering, but really good deals to be had. I'm not a diecast collector, but the Star Destroyer was in such good condition and it included the Tantive IV, so had to grab it. Happy to add another moc as well.

Amazing MTV-7 Capetown! Would love to own one of these myself one day. Remember when the Uzay ones used to sell for a couple of hundred quid, I bet they don't any more

Ha! I was talking to Peter about that auction! I'm glad it was you that won it Emi! Couldn't have gone to a better collection!

No worries, Peter. I was counting on the price ticking up anyway.

So, "verzamelaar" is the flipper? The nickname is kind of ironic then (means "collector").
