Heading to Celebration a lot closer to broke than I'd planned, but a lot happier too..

I found a French guy on a French auction site, who wouldn't post outside France and would only accept a French cheque as payment.
Good job I live in France then! I payed the equivalent of £7.32 each, all have been taped up apart from Barada and all are on 77 Palitoy backs apart from Yoda who is on a 45 Meccano. Winner winner chicken dinner :)

Ollie, ALL of the Trilogo 70/79 back cards apart from the Dignitary are actually Meccano Trilogos and some are quite scarce. Great little set of figures!

Wow!

If u EVER decide to sell the Leia Hoth I'm your man!

 That cat/wokling combo is priceless. Someone get some badges made for CE3!

Steve! Man, I'm totally green with envy! What I wouldn't do for an EB pack. Love it, great buy. Don't worry, I'll buy you a pint next week. You'll have to go mine sweeping for the rest, though.

Ollie, Less than £8 a figure? Buy of the month, so far, I'd say.

I have two new arrivals and I'm a happy bunny. The 45a 4-LOM continues in what is becoming an unintentional "thing". In May I was in Vegas and was lucky enough to pick up a Trilogo Hoth Trooper I'd won on ebay as the guy lived in Vegas. This month I've been in Singapore and, noticing a FB listing by a guy living in Singapore. I contacted the seller and asked if he was open to offers. Long story short I met up with an unbelievably friendly (and generous) guy who showed me a collection that I doubt I will see bettered this side of Episode X (I know). On top of that he forced this 4-LOM into my hands at a, frankly embarrassing, discount on his ask. It was a great evening despite me ending up eating frog legs.

The FX-7 I am even more pleased with. The 45b card is considered dull by some but I have a soft spot for it. The clean lines and the awesome ESB logo just work for me. And there's something about the FX-7 cardback that I love. If I can pick up some more Palitoy cardbacks I may just have to make it the subject of a focus. This one was from the forum's newly minted member DarthGulliver via an eBay sale. Chuffed to bits with it, cheers mate :) I will be releasing FX from his tomb at some point.

That FX7 used to be mine, i didnt grade it.
I love the 45b with double stem bubbles and totally concur that the FX7 card art is a gem!

Enjoy breaking ot out of the case.

Cheers fellas. Small world, Marc! He's a cracker. I had no idea the twin stems were so thin on the FX-7. They're nearly knife edges.

I did have to do quite the search to find any sales records for a 45b FX-7 as I didn't want to overpay (standard). I could only find one result on Vectis over a year ago. Checked with Gary what sort of rarity he was before committing as I thought I was just not finding other sales but it would appear it's one of those that are hard to find but not competed for so good value.

On a bit of a roll the past few days, which as mentioned before, having been madly saving for Celebration, is not exactly the best news cash wise, but collection wise I'm beaming!

I went to Roll Out Roll Call, the GI-Joe/Action Force and Transformers show (that Dave Tree runs) with my Brother (he's an AF collector) this weekend and one of the chaps there (who was a speaker at the event) had these behind his stand, they were his uncles and had been in a storage room for decades, they brought them over from the states on the off chance someone might be into Star Wars on the day(s).. I may well have been the only SW guy there though as I think I saw only 1-2 other SW items at the whole event.

I present two Rumph tankards, with boxes.

Now I'd never seen these in person before and it's fair to say they are somewhat larger than I expected and the detail on them is just amazing. Does anyone else have any of these or collect them. I see there is a Vader to join them as the set, but are there more? Is there any significance in the box art; one being multi character the other being just Obi-Wan?

Cheers
Steve
