Woah! Matth, I don't think I've liked anything French quite this much since a teenage me clapped eyes on Vanessa Paradis. Those Meccano cards rock!

Hahahaha lol thanks!
Vanessa Paradis is now vintage too ;)

Here's an accumulation of Palitoy from the last few weeks. Three of these were from the controversy ridden sale by Jake Repas on FB. I have to say I found him pleasant to deal with and very trusting. I was not impressed with the tape applied to the cards and did say as much but was lucky the tape came off without damage.

The Ben is an upgrade from a Vectis purchase. This new one was from eBay having submitted a best offer and then used a 20% discount code. That made him about the right price considering the bubble crushing.

The BBG is my first hybrid! I wasn't bothered about hybrids until I saw this. It was so different; the high glossy card stock, the marriage of the front and back, it was too much to say no to. Dammit. Was happy NOT getting trapped by the need to pick these up. Still, I've started at the "cheap" end. WBG next up....

The AT-AT Commander is from Scott (Twisted Metal). I'm chuffed to bits with him, thanks buddy. It's another upgrade so there will be one up FS soon.

Picked up a few cardbacks I didn't have and a dirt cheap Han Solo Blaster (seller said electrics were broke but it was just a lose contact!)

Nice cards mate! So all that drama on Facebook about the taping was Jake? Unbelievable! I guess the self-proclaimed expert isn't such an expert after all, only a dumb ass would put tape on to cardboard.

Yep, I'm the one who received 3 tri-logo MOCs with a cardboard protection taped directly to the cards :(. Purchase refunded, items returned, items posted back up for sale by the original seller ;)

Yeah I saw your post, couldn't believe the photos! Poor Ackbar :(

Some guys think that money can buy anything, knowledge, reputation, friendship... Obviously the one thing it can't buy is a brain ;)

What a tool !!

Apart from his taping vintage MOCs and accusing me of being the only "clown" who was not able to remove the tape properly, the guy is rather nice and helping to be honest... ;)

Ha ha! What's not to love about that?

It was the most bizarre trade. He did explain how he had packed them (about 2 days before they arrived) but I didn't believe what he said as I thought it was just too ridiculous. They arrived and as it turned out it really was as described: (magic) tape applied to the surface of the MOCs. Having made the mistake of using the same tape to hold the lids of board games together whilst gluing them back together and seeing the damage caused if not incredibly careful I was super-careful. I got lucky, Ackbar and Matth, not so lucky. A crying shame as that was a nice card.

Nothing to say about all the trilogo and meccano lovelyness but bloody, fantastical amazingness! Great pick ups guys!

*and yep, well aware I'm now making up words!

Vectis seem to be getting faster posting items out. Won these 2 cheeky little Palitoy numbers at the last auction for a great price. Like all Palitoys, they look the nuts.

Wow. Wouldn't have liked to have been the guy with the $1800 yak face if it turned up with tape all over it.

Simon, I thought you got the pick of the bunch with that Leia hoth. Nice one.

Cheers Ben, I'm very pleased with her. My favourite is the AT-AT Driver though. He's in amazing condition and has a KayBee price sticker marked 79c then crossed out and "2/1.00". Two for $1, which is about 50p back in the day. The mind boggles! Been discussing this with Iain. It's amazing how these bargain bin figures shipped across the globe seem to have survived better than our own locally produced and sold Trilogos.

Very nice Palitoys indeed.

Stunning picks ups, love the Palitoy Moc's and the tri-logo Paploo.

Here's a few things that have arrived this week, still waiting for a couple of more things but gonna wait now until after Christmas before making any more purchases.

First up a great unused Kenner B-Wing, box is good as these are normally wrecked.

Next is an awesome Tie Interceptor I got from plantman (andy), kenner Taun Taun, 12" Ben (missing his saber, anyone got a spare? :) ) and the elusive belt and bombs to complete my 15" IG88.

And finally, my favourite item to arrive is this awesome 'Star Wars is Forever' poster, gonna get this framed at some point.

Never have I seen MOCs for sale near where I live. I spotted the Yoda in the window of a market stall. He wanted £300. Every MOC was £300. He has a ESB Kenner Luke Bespin, a Meccano square Jawa, R2 sensor scope and a Jedi Bib. The first day I purchased the Yoda. He told me it was the only palitoy. But the next day I went back and gladly took the Han Hoth too.
