Simply Sci-fi said:I don't usually read this thread. Wow. The shipping box of B-Wing pilots makes me drip with envy. The Prune face was good value.
I recently treated myself to the AMT Pro Shop X-Wing kit released in 1998. It's one of the last X-Wing model kits that I need for my collection. It has motorized wings, lights, sounds – a lot of bang for your buck.
The kit seems to have a few problems with the detailing such as an odd-shaped cockpit canopy but I just take it that there were several different X-Wing "marks" produced by Incom. The large easy kit from Revell is chunky compared to the prop model but it can represent an earlier, less streamlined version of Incom's X-Wing.
I'm more interested in scale. This kit comes close to 1:35 although it seems a bit large compared to the pilot and a pack of U.S. Army soldiers that I own (destined for conversion to Tantive IV crew). My personal rule of thumb is that the opening canopy is six feet long. The only other Star Wars kit I'm aware of in 1:35 is the large Revell Snowspeeder Easy Kit, so now it has some company on my shelf.
Hopefully I'll have another excuse to post on this thread again soon.
Craig.

Its a limited run of skateboards Santa Cruz/Star Wars decks. There is an even more limited run of blister packaged decks. The Boba Fett being one of them.
The rest of them are pretty bad visually IMO the Fett is the best image & colourwise

Mr-shifter said:Got some cool stuff this week. I think these are some real nice additions.
First up, I have picked up some variants and the next lot of figures for my ongoing loose collection project. Heres a group shot. This is coming along quite nicely. I don't think I will do another group shot till I have them all and displayed nicely.
Got these two guys. Kind of a double act so I thought best to stay together. I won't get any more of these as I just wanted an example for my collection, although I think they are very complimentary as a pair.
Another oddity for my MOC collection. Im not going to be actively pursuing these but I wanted an example. Old Klaatu seems to get everywhere and I know this is one of the more common of these but I really liked it.
And finally, I am really chuffed with this. Probably not for everyone as the card has a tiny slit in it, but its fine for me. Other than that its in fantastic shape. I wanted a proper Star Wars Palitoy logo'd card, but I don't have masses and masses of disposable cash so I had to be more selective. I wanted a decent character and a figure that I liked. Im really chuffed I got to get this one, and I have to say a big thanks to Scotty_Boy.
Hope you enjoyed the update. I do have another MOC in the post office because I wasn't in today, so another update soon.
