Been awhile since I last picked up a loose figure. Last week was the first Comic Con in the area, so I of course went. I was surprised that a couple of the dealers actually had some vintage. I found this nice loose small head Han for $15 with original gun. It's a variation I just never got around to picking up until now.

Wow guys, the CE2 artwork seems to have been fairly popular;
Mumbo, Jammy,Maulster,Timbo, Martin,Chris-caswelbot,kuwahero,,Benny100,Rob71,Dublinjeff,Micheal Sith,Skywalker, Pomse2001,X-Pack,The Slider, DB94 & PGowdy all commenting :) A few have asked me where they are from, by who, is it McQuarrie? No, the artist is Malcolm Tween, he was at CE2 and signed them both. Both are limited editions, the ROTJ one was number 83 of 250 which i thought was cool seeing as Jedi was released in 1983. He had sold out of the limited run of the Hoth one, but i managed to convince him to sell me an AP (Artist Proof). Apparently he will soon be working on an Eps IV one. One is on Ebay, a few have sold

Cheers guys

I have around 25 - 30 cardbacks now. Running out of room to display them

I keep looking at the photo of the DSD and the ink run pisses me off. The photo doesn't do it justice though. I try to repair them in a way that can be undone just in case it goes wrong.

Two more to add to my haul :-) very pleased with these, especially the AFA PD..GONK!

Yet more great pick ups- Andy, Cereal, Shawn, Adam... amazing stuff.

I've just received these two pieces of artwork from Lorraine (Frunkstar's better half :D ). Within a couple of hours of me sending over some ideas for a commission, Frank informed me that his good lady was already working on them... and here is the result:

I'm absolutely delighted with them! These will go in my display cupboard as part of my growing collection. Why these two logos? My Star Wars collecting is rather narrow, from 1977 to 1982. Anything after that I have very little nostalgic appetite for personally, so 'Blue Harvest' is my acknowledgement of Return Of The Jedi despite not owning any figures from this era, and Orange Harvest is a nod towards Episode VII and (hopefully) the good film that will follow.

Thanks again to Lorraine for doing a sterling job with her Pyro Art, it's a fascinating technique with a superb end result :D

Nice boba, I never new they first painted the visor red and then black

Picked up a robustly packaged parcel from the sorting office earlier containing this...

LukeSkywalker12acardback_zps93fd7a14.jpg

Last time I bought a Palitoy Luke Farmboy it was 1978 and it cost 99p. Funnily enough, it also came complete with a bubble that contained said figure inside

Fast forward 35 years and I find myself forking out £90 just for the card. Further evidence that the clamour for all things Palitoy at any price shows no signs of abating. 'Tis rather minty, though- despite the bubble rip. Another one ticked off the list for my FIrst 20 cardback run featuring the red and blue logo.

Always loved that card Martin - lovely :D

Bloody hell. I haven't looked in here for nearly 2 weeks and its exploded. Loads of awesome buys guys, especially loving the art work Jez, would love the falcon for my Star Wars wall.

My last purchase's for quite a while. I bought these around 4 weeks ago so before anybody says anything, I haven't gone back on Acrylic challenge, just taken ages to put these up.

All are from guys on here so thank you to all, you know who you are.

Nice one, Nick- I'll be rooting for you on October 24th.

Thanks Andy, I have to agree, it's one stunning card :D

Excellent additions, Chris- and keep at it with the Acrylic Challenge: best of British, and all that!

Very sweet palitoy cardbacks martin, that logo justs draws us all in.
Awesome vc jawa nick, how is your savings going for the 24th oct?
Good luck

Been a little crook of late so it's taken a wee while a while for any new acquisitions for me, deciding to go for a focus certainly stems the flow but it's enjoyable all the same.

Here's my latest Yoda bits one grail down ( trilogo ) with another grail piece on it way.

20130914_144824_zpse6e41327.jpg

MISB French Canadian Yoda Puppet,

GG Jumbo Yoda, the only modern piece I can ever see myself collecting. ( Birthday Pressie form my Wife  )

79 Back Yoda, bubbles in a bad way with heavy crushing to the top but for $50 I'm not complaining.

Tri Logo Yoda, been on the hunt for one of these for ages and managed to pick it up from the same seller as the Puppet.

Here's the cake my wife made for me for my 40th, unbeknownst to me she added a Yoda theme using one of my loose puppets!
