Bloody hell this thread rattles along :o
...at break neck speed!

Spooked- superb purchase by way of June, love to see those original price stickers, too.

Rich- I heartily applaud your baggie madness, but it's your Popy R5-D4 that's got me drooling. I'm hoping to start out on these myself (a little earlier than expected as I still haven't completed my loosie run, but hey-ho), and it's great to see the size of the box in relation to other figures... I always imagined the packaging to be bigger for some reason... but I really like their compact size. Perfect for a collector like me with limited space

And finally, Rob- a real shame you were duped on the TIE Fighter Pilot, BUT! When all's said and done- it displays great. Really mate, it looks the business... but if you're always going to have that nagging doubt then I would get in contact with the seller and voice your concerns.
Cracking purchases from Mumbo and Dennis, too. The real blast from the past for me is your acquisition of the Topps cards... I'd forgotten about these and the bubble gum aroma that came with them (back in the day)- I've got to look out for these myself.
Looking forward to some updated photos of your collection from your new base :D

Jammybobsterbob, nice haul and congrats on completing the 21 run.
Sweet pick ups Tim, a new project eh? My money is on a Hoth scene, am i right, am i right?

I haven't put anything up on here for ages, so here are my latest bits and pieces.

These patches from CE2, the bottom two are for my flying helmet.

My Mark Hamill Autograph from CE2 (still buzzing)

My wonderful Luke Revenge Proof courtesy of Bram

and finally two wonderful pieces of Star Wars art from CE2 which i have just got back from the framers;

Together they compliment my collection quite nicely

Hi Jez, wow that is some awesome items

Nice Mark Hamill Autograph :D

Great Luke Revenge Proof 8)

Wow wow awesome Star Wars art and it looks great displayed like that with your collection. Great work mate

Just checked the mail and there were some nice loose figures courtesy of Jamie (fuzzybuzzy)

Gets me that bit closer to completing my loose figure collection

After nine months of having a freind in the US hold onto a bunch of stuff for me i finaly got around to picking up this large haul of SW goodies (although i have no idea how to get it all back to the UK :))

There is quite the spread of items here buti can't be bothered to multi post so here goes the lot...

Lego - The New Ewok Village and the B-Wing Fighter.

Shadows Of the Empire - I only really needed the comic 2 packs to say i had a complete run of modern comic 2 packs but as the other figures are great and the price was so low i took the lot, but i promise this isn't an in to getting back into modern collecting...

Disney - The two box sets are from this years SW Weekend. The Star fighter with Jedi Mickey is pretty cool, the driod is nice and overall this is a good ship. The Sarlac pit is great, the figures are nothing new but in that setting and layout this is a great set and for me it keeps my collection of Disney cross-over figures complete.

Vintage - the figures of interest... R5-D4 of RoTJ card, lovely figure and in great shape. Barada on POTF card, nice figuer there is a little creasing in the bottom of the card but not bad. Snaggletooth on Empire card with Revenge sticker, lovely figure and card and very happy with this one.

Then we have two big figures (for me anyway). R2-D2 12Bk Kenner card, this is an excelent card, there is a small ding in the top of the bubble but overall this is in great shape and is fantastic. C3-PO on Empire card. This is an almost perfect card, the figure, bubble, card everything is great and these were 2 i have been looking for for a while so very happy to have found them and within my budget :)

Oh and latly there are a pair of plush figures, Jedi Mickey with light up saber and Chip and Dale as Ewoks, (although i susspect my daughter will have these the second she see them...) and for the eagle eyed amoung you, you will have spotted a MASK figure. That is a coastal partol Matt Trakker and is the last of the carded figures i needed to have a full set of serise 1 and 2 figures, so very happy there as well.

Enjoy.

Wow monkey_roo, you have received a lot of items

Nice to see you have some of our danish Lego :D

Damn I do not know where to start

I love it all but my favorites is the shadows of the empire moc 8) I think those figures and cards are so cool 8) and all the vintage moc, wow.

Love the R2 and c-3po moc very much they are some of the best moc kenner created :D

That's one heck of a haul, monkey-roo... are you thinking of shipping it by container?

I've just received this bad boy bounty hunter from across the Atlantic from one Mr Figueroa... and with a couple of extra surprises in there- his SWF.UK sticker being one of them :D
Thanks mate, you're an absolute Gent

Hi Martin, nice bounty hunter and a great sticker 8)

Jez - as everyone else has said, that print with the At-At is superb. Looks great framed. Well done mate

Wow another Ree-Yees, moc Spookedhippie

You must have them all now or is there still more for you to hunt ?

Collected these over the last month or so.

DSD - this was bought as a completely destroyed card with the original bubble. I have replaced the whole bubble section (obviously) and also printed the entire lower section of the 4-LOM offer on the back. The card was still there but the print torn off. Getting the scale right from a template is fairly easy, but matching the colour to graft pieces on is nigh on impossible. I don't mind though. It looks nicer than the picture makes out. Ok for a first effort. One thing i'll do differently next time is to double sided tape the bubble on. Gluing a bubble onto a printed cardback makes the ink run. Any tips PM me
ESB-Backs-Sep-2013-001.jpg

Greedo - pop is missing but the rest is original. Love this as it's one of my grail pieces :D
ESB-Backs-Sep-2013-003.jpg

Rebel Commander - Palitoy reseal. Haven't done anything other than stick the bubble back
ESB-Backs-Sep-2013-004.jpg

Tusken Raider - pop has been seperated from the cardback leaving no hole on the front. Gaffi stick is missing. Got this for a steal so well pleased with it.
ESB-Backs-Sep-2013-005.jpg

Last up - Bespin Han. Bought on here as a beater/reseal. It's beat up but I still really like this one.
ESB-Backs-Sep-2013-006.jpg

Awesome skills there, Barry- they all look superb, the DSD looks especially stunning. And beat up or not, your Han Bespin is a cracker- love it. Can't wait to see what you'll do with the Palitoy AT-AT Driver... :D

Be a lot more careful, that's for sure. Just sent the Mrs out for some double sided tape

Cheers

Baggie madness continues,

Lumat well hard to find I know, ev and anmanaman were on my hunting list. A rare hard to find Sw pin head Han, a popy r5 and a probot Baggie. The one I most chuffed with is the no smile lando. Taken me a year to track that down. Just 3 more to go and all figures and variants bagged

Good to be back on the scene

Wow Djbighair, cool Popy and a lot of cool figures in baggies  can all 96 figures be found in baggies ?

Awesome pickup guys. I check this thread often and amazed by it all.

Now here's something to blow everything out of the water courtesy of Frunkster's better half. I've two of these now and the detail on the first was awesome. This one .... unbelievable! I don't think the pics will do it justice but here it is in it's glory.

Shame about the postage damage but I'll get a frame with corner pieces to cover it. I am ecstatic with this. R5 rocks!
Frank may be better to discuss the process but it's a form of pyro art (all done freehand, no templates.) I couldn't even begin to guess how one goes about creating something like this.

Aha! So Frank's good lady also created his avatar? This is an awesome piece of art, is it on marble or something similar? I've been painting for 30-odd years and I know nothing about pyro-art... I'm intrigued. Richard, would you take a photo of your first artwork when you get chance? I'd love to see it :D

Frank! Explain this process, please!

It's on wood. And believe me you don't want to see my Art. Think of drawing with your opposite hand when you were 5 and you'll get the idea.

On wood? So I'm guessing it's a bit like branding with a hot implement... fascinating stuff. And I'm sure your own artwork is top grade, but I did mean it would be great to see the first piece you got from Frank's better half

Agreed! I then asked Frank if he was up for requests. And you can see the results. A good little side line business could be made from this :D

Haven't posted much on here for a while as I've been too busy moving house and getting things sorted, so here are a few things I've got over the past few weeks.

First off Han courtesy of Mumbo - this one completes my first 12 (well 21 actually) :D

IMG_0344_zps90da4125.jpg

Next a Hammerhead 21 back from Dennis (Stargeezer) which I had him send to the AFA for me, coming back with an overall 80 (80-85-85) really happy with this one

IMG_0340_zpsc458ae94.jpg

Next a Tie-Fighter Pilot which I bought from ebay (a collector of 20 years  ) not too impressed to find this was a reseal even though I specifically asked the question :( not sure what to do with this one...

IMG_0346_zpse1a43c36.jpg

Anyway things get better again now... a pair of Palitoy mini-rigs complete with inserts and instructions

IMG_0341_zps3b2cd9ca.jpg

A full set of UK Series 1 Topps Star Wars cards (I sold my almost complete set years ago and really wanted to get these again) sadly the bubblegum smell I remember as a kid has completely gone from these...

IMG_0342_zps37d1f47d.jpg

And finally... not a new acquisition, but all my loose figures ready for putting on display (at last!) which I will post pics of soon :)

IMG_0339_zps3373f8da.jpg

Pomse there is always more... Unfortunately with me buying the ex out of the house has meant my funds are rather dry at the moment to hunt
