Congratulations with the a-wing pilot :D what weapons do you need ? :D

Quick count up and it's around 17 real weapons I'm missing.

Both bespin guards weapons
Yoda' cane
Leia hoth
At-at drivers and commanders
Tie fighters
Royal guards
We're quay
Biker scout
Nien nunb
Prune face cape
Paploo
Yak face
Lando general
R2's light saber
Rebel commando

Sure there is another one but can't think what it is. So still quite a few to complete properly but hopefully get there. :D

I think he was good in V, I also think the new V is very bad and the old V is awesome :D

A big moment for me  I haven't had a Palitoy cardback in my hands since... 1982. Now I've gone and purchased a lot of five from ebay, and it's sensory overload. Thanks goes to Gary and Jason for the invaluable advice before I made my bid.

Yep, the Sand People and Death Squad Commander have had their bubbles well and truly ragged off, but that makes me chuckle... there's a bit of history there, and the original recipient of either of these must have been frantic to get at that figure inside!

And you're absolutely right, Gary- just owning a piece of card with that red, white and blue logo is giving me the nostalgia hit I've been craving. I love 'em :D

I also remember them from my childhood Palitoy was also sold in Denmark :D

Great to hear they were on sale in Denmark too, Lars :D

Ha Martin- I was watching that auction.

Great buy mate- love it!
Cheers mate, I went for this lot by way of consolation... I was bidding on the set of first 10 Palitoy cardbacks with figures from the same seller which I lost out on a few minutes earlier... I wish I'd gone higher on that one, but I'm happy with these little beauties!

Great cardbacks. The best most nostalgic logo.
It's so good that the guys on here are willing to help out a fellow SWFUKer, but that's what makes this forum such a good one!
They look brilliant, and have made a decent consolation prize :)

:D Martin, really pleased for you mate, I know the Palitoy logo was a big want...like bloody busses

Congratulations, sit back and drink in that visual treat whenever you want now

So ...full set now

Well done mate

 this hobby is like a drug for sure

Just gone through a few pages that I missed and noticed your Meccano book as well, great stuff. I'm thinking of buying this one myself now.

Nick, what can I say? 48 ASTs (and don't forget the Ewok catapults  ). Hang on to them all, and the outer boxes of course.

Webby, nice display case and pleased to hear you are near your collecting goal. I'm trying to put together a complete sete of loose but at the moment I need WAY more than 2 characters.

Nice cell art Grant, and one for your new paper protector.

Lars, nice loose variations :)

Congratulations martin,
Now that your in the mood for the blue & red label you could put in a cheeky offer for the full palitoy set on ebay.
Wish I was in a position to do that.
Congrats again,
Andy

Cheeky as in offering £100 and a bag of Cough Candy Twist? Because that's about my limit, unfortunately  I was in the beautiful town of Beverley just the other day, and I was thinking to myself: somewhere nearby is Palitoy heaven...

Surely you don't need three Stormtrooper cards Martin!

Great score!
Cheers Stevie, I'm enjoying revelling in my triple Stormtrooper 12a back greediness

Haven't looked in this section for about a week and I have to say some great item's have been added to it.

Grant - cool auto's, I got BDW back at CE in 2007, nice guy and would have been a great guy to chat too if they let you. Look forward to November when Jez, Iain and myself can see you get his, the smile on your face will be huge!!

Nick - Really, 48 AST5's, that's just plain greedy!!! great score buddy, the only problem like you say now is what do you do with them, how do display them?!?

Martin - Sweet Pali cards and figures. I need to get me a Pali back one day, all my MOC's are Kenner. Might hunt out a Pali Yoda MOC, that would be awesome for my focus.

Lars - love the loosie's, look nice and minty

Webby - I have always wanted to get the ESB case with Yoda on the front, just never pulled the trigger on any that I have seen. Yours looks great, might have to hunt me an ESB one down.

Bollocks, cant remember who bought the book but like Jez, I am inspired to get one. Where is the best place to purchase one of these bad boys.

Have a few purchases to add from the last couple of weeks, hopefully add them tomorrow at some point.

Chris... I'm shaking my head in despair, haven't you just posted a thread titled: "PLEASE DO NOT LET ME BUY ANYTHING!!"?

I bought the book. And it wouldn't be right to give you the contact details to make your own purchase. Keep your focus on purchasing acrylic cases en-masse in mind. Crikey, I feel like I've actually turned into a responsible adult at 43 years of age. Five gold stars for me.

PM me if you want Stephane Faucourt's contact details just to make an enquiry

  Can always ask for it as a Christmas Pressie, don't have to spend out then!!

Apologies for hogging this thread of late, but I've just received this little gem from California.

It's probably becoming apparent that I'm a bit of a logo fiend when it comes to the various Star Wars licensees, and while a Takara MOC was slightly out of my budget range  I decided to settle for this pin badge from 1977, just to satisfy my craving.
I love the packaging, and it was a real treat to see the design on the reverse as this wasn't photographed in the original auction listing.

That Takara logo does make me smile :D
