Logray is a bitch to find. Was the last ine I got. The two Duloks are easier but you have to grab them when you see them especially if they are complete. Good luck mate.

Given who the seller was (after having some shill bidding from him before) and the fact every bidder was "private" I pulled out - it eventually went for £580 - id be interested to know if he bid it up again and gave someone a second-chance option and he has done before.

I might have a different one in the pipeline, cheaper and MISB (unlike this one).

Joe - well bloody done mate, that's one very very nice proof, must say although I am not usually in to proofs, that one really does look the nuts, really pleased for you.

If I get a chance to take some photos I will actually add a little something to this thread myself, been a looooong time though & a bit of a dry spell for me.

Well yes and no! Quality control sign off's are widely accepted as pre prod by collectors even though strictly speaking they aren't prototypes or even pre production at all. I think the majority of QC figures have all been production pieces but they do compliment pre prod runs quite well as they served a purpose within Kenner/Palitoy etC.

The 8D8 is a Kenner import that was probably pulled from a shipping case and checked for quality control purposes at Palitoy. They likely kept one of each figure from various lines aside as samples just to show they were checking for quality. I know the source of these SW samples also had European RGB figures, WWF figures and some other Star Wars items like model kits (which I think Darren from Starzone now owns).

It's been signed three times on the first sticker by employees from the safety, quality and marketing departments and the second sticker is signed by someone in design and again in quality. It's a neat piece and I was pretty lucky to get it!
