Glad to see you managed to hook yourself up with the blank proof Bram as I know you were deal disappointed to have missed the other one, like buses eh! I have never even hear of/seen those bottom ones, are they protos of what they were considering?, glad they went with the option they did if so, but they really are well cool.

Some nice cardbacks there Dennis

Your weird oddments always raise a smile here Grant, some more great items as usual, you & Todd must have like warehouse type storage capacity.

That popy is really drool worthy - want me one of those!, great job on the case to by the looks of it.

Got me a few loose PD's of late thanks to the great guys on here - thanks! & this fellow which I am super smitten with, very rare Palitoy R5 baggie, same as the one I have in my wollies 8 pack, but it always drives me nutty wanting to look at it in the 8 pack & shuffling the figures round to do so which is not good :o -

Oh, lordy... I was only mentioning to Mumbo earlier about a childhood passion for R5-D4. Seeing this makes my heart sing, and fills me with inspiration as I set off on my collecting odyssey. Hats off to you, Sir!

Just got this and couldnt be more thrilled :-)

Photo of me age 7 in 1984, I was out shopping in Sheffield, popped into a toyshop, bought a Rebel Commando and B Wing Pilot.

Then a buzz went round the shop saying Darth Vader had just landed on the, roof!

I was bloody terrified, I thought, if he looks in my bag and sees I've bought rebels hes going to strangle me! Lol.

No idea who was in the costume but it was awesome, and the guy was huge!

Lol what up mike :D looks like you have a tanned leg FarmBoy 3 line coo, could be an early bird? Did you check the saber to see if it had any letters on the hilt? That's #6 on wolf's Guide.

9FFF2B18-CE25-47D7-8943-869854ACEFC4-10623-00000657C07CB6E4_zps6a630813.jpg

Peace bro,
June Bug

:D

Was hoping its an early bird

Where will any letters be?there is something on the top of the saber but can't make it out, need to get he old magnifying glass out  old age

I will check wolfs guide

Cheers bud, really hope it's an early bird but happy as I only paid a £5 note for him and a minty bib Fortuna ...for both :D

Edit....just had a magnifying glass on it looks like the letter E at the top just before the handle curve and maybe a raised dot on the opposite side?
Can't be sure though, as its really hard to make out.
Can't find wolfs guide :(

Thought the early birds were DT sabers?
So much to bloody learn

If it is an early bird, what price would you normally pay ( he is not going anywhere though ..well and truly fixed as " mine now". Really like him

DT sabers were the 1st released then they stated making the single sabers to save on production cost, the lettered ones being the earliest. So IMO you have a early bird Luke.

Check this site out:

Also check this OFOTW Thread:

Hope these help I'm still learning some of this. But maybe one of the more knowledgeable members here can chime in :D

Peace
June

The only way to start a Monday is getting two parcels... One with the Test Proof I posted last week and the other with this little man!

Big thanks to Michael for this beautiful Yoda and Mark for the Test Proof. Love 'em both!

Enjoy
:D

P.S @Aaron... I have never regretted selling anything before, but seein that Luke Popy graded makes me very jealous and a little unsure if I should've sold him!

:D thanks June really helpful...all seems to point to early bird Luke it was the saber not beige DT that threw me, didn't realise they had the type of saber I have on early birds as well
Value isn't an issue for me as he is loose, not carded
Has stiff limbs, stiff head and now I've cleaned him up seems not to have any major discolouration, or bad rubs.

What sort of money do you usually pay for one of these, I take it the original saber adds value, I'd just like to know

I don't know if others feel this way, but I'm wanting to say " it's an early bird Luke" then he will live in my collection forever
To me this type of find, probably a personal thing, gives me a real buzz, and when I actually hold the figure it gives me a sense of holding a little piece of early SW history...great feeling

So if he is EB I will be even more pleased :)

Ill keep checking

Thanks June for the links

Cheers guys
