Ok guys so here is my latest acquisition and the reason I had to sell the Imperial Set. I picked this baby up from the depot yesterday and I am literally over the moon. It is a second series Bespin Set Quality Control Sample. Quality Control Samples were random samples taken off the production line to test the quality of the items and make sure that they met the standards expected.

This example has been signed by Don Huler in 9/11/81 - So that would be the 11th of Sept 1981. At present, I only know of two quality control sample 3 packs. This one and a Star Wars Creature Set QC Sample so you can understand why I am so chuffed.

I think realistically this will spell a real slowing down and a potential break from collecting for me for a little while. I want to try and focus on a few other things in my life. Of course if any 3 pack preproduction does turn up I will be out of hiding like a shot! :)

I will update my limelight when I get my SLR camera back but in the meantime enjoy!

Since I saw your limelight I really started to like the 3-packs. Maybe, one day, who knows?

Extraordinary piece, glad it's in your collection, it will suit your display wall very well. :)

The reason is called Iphone, for some reason it decided that it should not include the text in the photo :P

Amazing 3 pack there !

Not from MEM but a nice "small v" variant PD from a guy on TIG 8) TBH I cant see much difference from a normal PD. Could anyone explain the difference? :?

Fantastic pick ups there Liam.Well done mate. Looks like you had a great time! Disappointed I couldnt make it this time. Looks like Gary sorted out a few few folk with some top deals too. It would be great to see some more pics posted on this thread.

Chris, the 3 pack is epic. I'm glad that one of only 2 known samples ended up in your collection. Shame that your taking a little break but I guess with the cost of the 3 packs, they're not the easiest things to buy. Congratulations mate. Still hope to see you at shows though!
Liam, great haul mate. It was nice to finally meet you and your dad yesterday. I saw your purchases in the flesh and you've got some top items there. I'm glad you like the Yoda too. It was one if those items that I was torn about selling but I'm glad it's gone to a good home.
Had a great day at MEM yesterday. Met a couple of people which was nice. Purchase wise, I only found one moc that I needed towards my jedi run, although I was tempted by a 12 back Dsc from Lee!
It's a CCP on a Palitoy Jedi card, that came from Jim, whose stall was awesome.
I think I've got around 20 mocs of the 65 still to track down.

Liam, great buys from MEM, love that DSD and gload you've finally got a SW card, still need to get my first one.

Chris, that QQ 3 pack is awesome dude, totally understand why you passed on the other 3 pack so quickly.

Lee, that CCP is case fresh, absolutely mint mate.

No discounting all the other great pick ups but those were my favourites of the latest.

My haul from the NEC yesterday, a few beaters for spare weapons I have lying around and a couple of knackered Stormtrooper...I love those guys, the more beaten up the better - someone has to show them some love!

The Tie is awesome, a great clean example and the box is nice too. That and a black rebel blaster and the Falcon dish and holder came from Rich... cheers for those!

Looking for instructions and inserts for the TIE if anyone can help?

But the item that put the biggest smile on my face was the inflatable Death Star....£2.00, couldn't be happier!

Liam - not as pleased about your purchases - look in to the eyes not around the eyes - you want to sent that ESB R5 to me for an early Christmas gift, this was your thinking as soon as you laid eyes on it :P sooooo many great buys in a day, would not be shocked if you soiled yourself at mem, sheer class m8, very pleased for you.

Del - Fan'bloody'tastic to see you posting buddy, long time no speak, must be about time for another baggie chin wag, hope to see more of you on the board dude.

& last but by no means least, Lee - thats one superbly minty mint CCP, twin stem to, what a great find, I don't usually collect MOC, but for that one I could make an exception! :D

Bought this one on evilBay, a bit disappointed even though the auction description stated that it was a reseal, there were mini staples holding the bubble on (managed to remove them though) and the bubble has a gaping hole. Also it's the wrong figure, as the grey haired Ben was never on a SW card. Still doesn't look too bad, but I think I overpaid, but hey ho.

Saturday I received this lot of figures. To my big surprise I found a Bib Fortuna Lili Ledy and there is also a Lili Ledy Gamorrean guard :D
