I have a few figs on their way to me at the moment (and after telling Iain i was done purchasing for the year a month or so back :)) but this one came through the door yesterday and i couldn't help posting early (normally wait to everything is in).
I have been after a Rebel Commander for over a year now and a week ago a 'C3' classified one came up on Brianstoys for £18 (£23 shipped to UK) so i figured i would have a punt as it wasn't breaking the bank and this is what turned up. A 45 Back Card, un-punched. The bubble has a few dings in it but nothing major and is fully secure to the card with no cracks and very little yellowing, the bottom of the card does have a warp in it but again in a Star Case it looks fine (and they sent it in a star case as well...), certainly feels like i got a bargain especially given where it came from (Not that i have anything against Brianstoys, far from it, but they aren't always the cheapest).

Sorry fellas for not having much time on my hand, I missed out 6 days on this thread, I come back to see an AFA 80 3 pack, baggies that were unknown to even Frank, bargains of the year and a lot of stuff that I would like to have in my own collection. I would like to comment on each of your posts (read: pull a Frank ;)), but like I said, don't have much time... :-/

But I have just enough time to show you my latest pickups:

Hmmm... a Palitoy Land Speeder? Wait a minute... AGAIN? Am I messing around and try to pass off an old acquisition as a new one? No! I got a 2nd one. :) And again for about 50% for what these go when they are auctioned on fleaBay. I guess I'm somewhat lucky. I'm really fond of the different Palitoy boxes. :) Only downside is that I asked the seller if it has the inserts and I was so certain that the answer was yes, but no, no inserts and when I read that mail againI found that the fault was on me, this is what happens if you read such mails in a rush. Still I'm happy with it. :)

At the moment I usually don't care about carry boxes. But there are 2 buts to this one.
- 1st it is in pristine condition. It looks as if it was produced last week, apart from a little crumbling of the picture on the front, but I guess that is normal?
- 2nd... feast your eyes on the Boba Fett we never had.

The carry case wasn't cheap and as it came from AU shipping alone was 30 AUD. 2 days ago I tracked it because I thought it was about time it showed up. I found out that it arrived in Germany almost 20 days ago, but since then hasn't left the distribution center it was received in. So I was kind of sure that something was wrong. I mailed the carrier and voila, the same day it left the DC and only 2 days later (yesterday) it arrived at my door. Funny thing: There was no declaration form (hope you know what I mean?) on the box, usually this means I have to pick it up at the customs and show them a print of my paypal payment. If this would have been the case I would have had to pay a lot extra. I assume that they have somehow 'lost' my parcel and when I mailed them they found it and made sure that it arrived at mine as soon as possible, avoiding customs.

Thanks for looking. :)

Two more off my Xmas list!! djbighair and flycasual have both been naughty boys and Santa will not be visiting them this year!

Congratulations on your Luke FB baggie and Meccano Luke FB respectively (said like a sulking kid who has to apologise).

Where did you get them from if I may ask, been scouring boards and evilbay for months and months!! :?

Bram

Just found someone who had a few baggies he wanted rid of, luckily for me he had a few I wanted, others from messaging people on rs I got the others.

Is it Luke's your after?

Just no bloody keeping up with this thread, seems like its been making .5 past lightspeed lately (as usual  )

Greg - is that where the raised bar Luke originates then?, as I have a side run of raised bar figures myself & would be nice to know, I'm no coo addict but I do love the raised bar figures for some unknown reason.

Dennis - the landspeeder has to be my all time fave ship & now you have 2 palitoy ones boxed - bloody ace, bet your chuffed, & the kit bash fett photo on the carry case is ace.

Rich - Bloody awesome baggies yet again, pretty gob smacked that you managed to pick up a PD & its in great condition, the luke is also a real tough one to track down & seemingly also in superb condition, really pleased for you m8.

crealkiller - nice additions to the big boy fett army

Liam - thrilled you are happy with the R5, just so pleased its gone to someone who appreciates the baggie type its in as well as the figure.

Monkey - nice UP rebel commander, always loved the ESB logo.

love how the thread has gone all baggie tastic of late, keep up the good work guys.

EDIT, seen there is another addition as I was typing lol, very pleased you bought that PD off Iain jambobbyb as I was seriously considering it.

The Glasslite Luke Farmboy has a raised bar as well.

So much cool stuff in this thread !

Been adding three more Prunefaces to the Pruneface focus that now counts 4.. Not the most loved character among collectors, but on the other side, not much competition when a variation comes up for sale :P

Good going so far Phantom, must be a cool one to focus on, as you say not a lot of competition, which makes for a focus on shoestring.

If your considering adding baggies to your collection there is one for sale on here real cheap at the moment, not mine may I add, but its in the tougher to get ESB-c baggie, so a real bargain IMO

Sure you could still afford it Phantom, he has reduced it to just £16 here -

3 new LLs for my LL collection. Vader's head is a little wobbly (common?) and Stormies legs are a little loose. But they look very nice and I'm glad to have them. They came straight from Mexico, it only took 14 days until they arrived here.
All original LL accessoires btw.
