This arrived today, sorry James.

Never had a boxed minirig before let alone a sealed one, the Toltoys shipping box is very cool not seen one before and would imagine there aren't too many out there.
:D I'm glad it went to a good home you dirty, smelly dog
Nah seriously happy for you.

Congrats to everyone else's purchases as well, I'm not even going to attempt to mention any others in particular. If it's vintage star wars it puts a smile on my face.

I thought it was the same bubble and that's why i wondered if yours was also that figure. Is there a few like yours around then with that type of bubble? I think malsters was a one off if I remember right.

Maulsters was a Kenner bubble and is a one off. The twin stem one is a little harder to find than the normal rectangular one. I think Andy has one in his sales thread.

That is so cool that you have a few of them now. Yes it is a never ending search. I collect the loose backdrops from the sets. But I don't understand why it is so hard to find those backdrops :?

Some truly superb pickups guys and gals, thought I would add my own purchases over the last few months.

NewAdditions.jpg

Imperial Gunner from our very own Casswell, and Barada and Amanaman from Toytoni.

Luke X-Wing from Roadster, and Bossk picked up from Ebay for £62, which i thought was a damn good deal.

Hope you like them, thanks for looking.

Cracking carded figures there Badderius. I lovely selection and in great nick too! Sweeet 8)

Loving the Rebel Set Anthony. It is a very tough set to find and that one is in lovely condition. The pink background really sets the figures off. Bravissimo! :D

In response to Pomse's point about the back drops, they do pop up from time to time but they seem to show up less frequently than some of the sets. Mainly because they were just fairly cheap looking pieces of cardboard and I expect when things were being sorted for jumbles sales etc. after kids stopped playing with them; these might even have made it into the bin. Its not like an action figure or a box for a toy, it was just a flimsy cardboard display and I bet most ended up on the rubbish heap. The ones that have survived are quite popular as people like to use them to display figures in front of and also act as an entry level item for anyone interested in 3 packs.

Also Anthony, can I just confrim that the Rebel set does not have any "waffle pattern" around the seal and instead has a "slick seal"?

Just need confirmation as Im trying to dot a few "i's" as part of my research. Please could you also get back to about your third series Imperial Set (Zuckuss, Tie Fighetr Pilot and AT AT Driver) as to whether that also has a "slick seal"?

It is my belief that the third series ESB sets did not come with the "Waffle seal" at all. All examples I have seen so far are "slick seals."

Drop me a PM buddy. All the best, Chris.
